I think the difference now between this agreement (sic) and the 2007 0ne is the use of the internet and in particular this forum.

Never before have like minded people before had the opportunity to get together and debate and show in stark terms they are not alone.

Yes some people will say the nay sayers on here are an irrevelance, whn it comes to the vote.

That is true in a mathematical sense, but just looking at the poll on this thread and the debate as a whole on the forum, shows just how many people are emboldened by the fact that they are not alone.

Over 80% of poll voters (600 people) are saying they will vote no.

That all of a sudden is a large voice of information rich members who will no doubt be sharing their views and knowledge to the wider office audience.

I doubt very much that the cwu will have that many eager and enthusiastic reps (area and otherwise) who will be able to countenance that immovable force.

THE AGE OF THE INTERNET HAS ARRIVED AND ITS POWER IS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE

However, like an FOI request brother Teebs exactly how many forum members have been banned from RMC?

I find the whole thing,to be a total disgrace, beyond belief...Vote yes,to less money, longer Saturdays, and an absolutely ridiculous delivery system, that is surely going be the biggest blunder that Royal Mail have ever made...AND my biggest fear...IF the vote is NO....no doubt it`ll all be "rail roaded in" anyway...Sad times !!!!!!!!!!! :d'oh!

Delivery staff have had it easy for to long. Maybe if you didn't start work almost an hour earlier than you should, didn't use your own cars, or wander back into the delivery office almost 2 hours before your supposed to finish with your 739's you wouldn't be in the position your in now. Vote yes and welcome to the real world.
I spent the day at a postcard factory.... it was o.k, but nothing to write home about

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Plus thats how strongly i feel about this, for over 20 years i have watched delivery staff milk the job for every thing that they can, then say that they are getting shafted! I'm lucky if i make 15 mins a day on C&N but see posties walk out up to 2 hours before they are supposed to finish. THE GOOD TIMES ARE OVER I'M AFRAID, TIME TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.

Yes of course that 'happened' i was one of them, but that was when we had 2 deliverys, things have changed over the years,it's much different in many places now.
Of course there are some who still manage to get away with stuff, but there aint many nowadays.

Read through the forum, you'll see what i mean.

What's C&N?

QUOTE "Delivery staff have had it easy for to long"

Errrr, you have no idea what your talking about mate. My back, knees and feet are close to giving up on me after just five years on the job. The length of walks and weights we have been made to carry has been nothing short of a joke. Tell you what, you come and do my walk for just ONE WEEK, and i'll drive around in your truck eating biscuits, then at the end of the week i'd love to hear from you as to how 'easy' us delivery staff have it.

You are an insult and clearly have no idea as to the day after day hard graft us walkers put in.
