would it be hooray i hate that crap anyway or would it be crap i will miss that cash?
It would be a "hooray, I hate that shyte, and will not miss it for a second, and nor will my customers", from me. :dance

then they could of got away without paying any supplements.
ermmmmmm the cost!!
just what cost would that be number one, royal mail already has the databases of all addresses of which they own, has the network in place and of course the delivery postperson's to deliver them, the only expense would be the filling and cost of the envelopes, i have been to printer's and mailing house's which have machine's which do this job so there would be a investment needed in the 1st place, but then the saving would be around £2 mil a week, and thats not counting the money royal mail would make from these.

the choice is clear, get it in the workload and get paid a supplement or maybe the above and get paid nothing.

going postal i think you will find PROBABLY royal mail are allowed to do this.

How would they save £2 mil per week, thats what they paid out last year to deliver them. They have to pay for filling and cost of envelope etc.and prob o/t to deliver them, but yes they would make savings.

CWU Support the Posties and renegotiate the deal!!!

Post by andy2007 »

Instead of asking us to back the CWU, by voting for this deal. What we should be doing, is demanding that the CWU backs it's Members. And tries to protect our T&Cs! There are already a large number of Posties, who work ALL the hours they're paid for. But still can't always complete. But there's no protection in this deal for them. There's vague promises to sort out the workload. But that's insufficient. :hmmmm

I don't know if anyone has realised but with the advent of the non specific duty span then anyone who normally books overtime on 3.5 hour delivery is definitely going to be in for a shock. Especially those who still think it is job and finish.

Good 2 liner though its a pity it keeps popping up in the forums without anything more to explain why you hold that view. The No voters seem to explain their reasons for voting No but you merely restate its a good deal but don't explain why, any chance of doing that.

Actually number six - quite a lot of explaining because nowhere in this agreement is employment guaranteed. So without this agreement we will all be on the dole is that it. You may have noticed that the current FT/PT split is 79/21 but by 2013 it is proposed to be 75/25 so for the 4% between the two it will NOT enable people to keep in employment. It is easy for the spin merchants to say things BUT "the words are the words" and those words are the ones that will be applied to the implementation of this agreement.
