If the answers NO then why are you so scared of this agreement?

Forget about D2D in there current format, because with or without agreement things are going to change and that wil lead to more IA.

Far to many cynics on here, i'm all for debate but let's keep it to a acceptable standard.

I will prepare myself for the barrage of abuse.

The question should be are you scared of working your hours when you don't know exactly how long your delivery span will be?

then they could of got away without paying any supplements.
ermmmmmm the cost!!
just what cost would that be number one, royal mail already has the databases of all addresses of which they own, has the network in place and of course the delivery postperson's to deliver them, the only expense would be the filling and cost of the envelopes, i have been to printer's and mailing house's which have machine's which do this job so there would be a investment needed in the 1st place, but then the saving would be around £2 mil a week, and thats not counting the money royal mail would make from these.

the choice is clear, get it in the workload and get paid a supplement or maybe the above and get paid nothing.

going postal i think you will find PROBABLY royal mail are allowed to do this.
you ask me a question then proceed to answer it yourself!! :arrrghhh

The CWU are out of their depth here.

Recommending a deal that sees tens of thousands of their loyal members out of pocket is juts plain unacceptable.

I conducted a recent poll in my office and over 85% or people indicated they would vote NO - and this was from an office that requested a reballot for deliveries only after processing were lumped in the same vote.

To be treated like this by the union is not only unfair but wholly distasteful.

If youre expecting a yes vote of 68% then i predict and exodus of 32%, perhaps more. And with the union struggling to fund itself this loss of membership might just bankrupt them. At least then they would be forced to stop funding the labour party...

VOTE NO for a better, fairer deal.

i don't doubt that your poll gave a 85% no vote, now i take it you are talking about a office on the south coast where you had to reballot just the delivery last time, as the processing staff outnumbered you and it was a no vote for IA, all i am pointing out that as you work in a city delivery you tends to get more d2d's than the small ones out in the sticks, which are the 25000 which will be better off.

Reason i'm voting no is that according to the agreement there will be a better work/life balance for us. By working up to 3pm on a Saturday RM are stopping me doing two of the things i enjoy doing the most, playing cricket in the summer and watching football in the winter. How is this agreement supposed to make my life away from work better?

Right this one envolope thingy is NOT going to happen! They will all be separate! No company is going to want their leaflet delivered with another company that does the same product. Imagine it "yeah sure pizza hut we can deliver your leaflets we'll do them in an envolope with dominos pizza and papa johns"! :no no

what he tells you and what he votes for? would not say your office is that small with 20 working there, belive me there are alot smaller ones, also take into account the non foot delivery personel who will get this payment just for working in a delivery office. i do think it should have just been paid to posties who only do walks, not callers etc, and then the amounts may have been higher.

right i am sure you have a mag delivered when you open it leaflets etc fall out,(csma mag loads in it and you have delivered it) it would be very unlikly that pizza hut would post on the same week as perfect pizza, these customers main concern is cost.

Little or no chance of a yes vote from our office
will not matter, the way it has been designed you just have to do the maths, there are 25000 delivery posties who will be better off with this supplement, just that alone will divide the deliveries vote, and then you have all the other fuctions which are not affected by the d2d issue.

i reckon a 68% yes vote
Well mystic Meg where did that figure of 25,000 postmen come from - deduct that though from the 95, 000 delivery postmen and you get a 2 to 1 against - it could be 68% but it won't be a YES vote.
