We don't necasseraliy have to go back on strike............some people have said that RM will just introduce all the things that they want anyway...........fine let them try.....it will be a whole lot harder without an agreement........

I have to disagree Belle without an agreement they walk all over us. With an agrement we have a deal of protection. If they break it we can take action legally. There are enough words in the agrement to tie them in knots. For instance the one in four saturdays off, that clearly protects four day weeks and means they have to think damm hard about new duty patterns. All your local rep needs to do is insist that they stick to it. The same with absorbtion in the last deal if they did not increase the leave spread in the summer then say no to absorbtion once again they are constrained by the agreement

i don't disagree with your logic necassarily.....now remind me what is the current limit on delivery spans under our national agreement on SDD....and what will it be after this agreement?

What is our current agreement on D2D payments.....and what will it be after this agreement?

nelp, it isn't the case that without this agreement we have no agreements.....i prefer the existing agreements to this one!

I do realise that without an agreement that RM will try to push through their changes....but without this agreement then if they increase our delivery spans or cut our D2D payments, then to use your phrase "we can take action legally".

How many knots can you tie them in when they take EA to increase your locally agreed delivery spans, and the national agreement says there is no maximum it's an enabler?

Think we will have to agree to disagree.

The total amount of leaflets RM and its competiors deliver each week is not that great, the UK average is 12 a week per household. RML are planning on the expectation of reaching 6 a week.

Couldn't find the bit in the agreement where it said if RM exceed their planning "expectations" we get a review of payments? Just to put things in context"we envisage Saturdays will be significantly shorter attendance because of lower traffic" :hmmmm

But that will vary locally, wouldn't it? It doesn't happen now ( some offices rarely get 3 a week, but in Sevenoaks, it's always 3 a week ), after all, I can't see them offices going over 3 if they don't reach it now....but what about my area, with a lot of big house prices in the area, does anyone think RM will say "We can punt 10 d2ds into TN13 a week....but lets only send 6 & give the OPGs a chance to cope?"

Seperately, do / will DOMs have any influence in how many d2ds are sent in? If so, would they get a bonus based on how many d2ds come in? If so, what safeguards might be in place to stop greedy DOMs loading up on d2ds to maximise their bonus?
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

There is no cap so you will have as many as RM can get in any one week and if the DOMs dont give you enough worktime then C/O or book OT.

It is very very clear that RM have to provide time within work hours.

DOMS will have no influence unless they are suddenley going to convince cusomers who use or rivals for DTD to use RML instead :hmmmm

If so that would be classed as watch and win wouldnt it, which has its own seperate payment scheme? DTD and DOMS bonus are not linked.

Sales department will be driving up DTD levels, hopefully our fellow CWU members in sales will be rewarded for their efforts.

If a DOM thinks there is a performance issue he/she will have to prove it.

That won't be too difficult because under this agreement performance issues are going to be clearly set out under best practices and each office must come into the top 10% of such performance figures - it's surely there in black and white - not highlighted of course but there nonetheless.

Yes it may seem funny now but it certainly won't be when the members are being hauled into the office for failing to perform at the required rate - and the defence will be? And the answer will be - it is an agreed practice, so unless you can meet the required standard it is good night Vienna. This isn't softly softly catchee monkey - it is the garrotte.
