the ones that don't receive payment for the d2ds are by definition the ones that don't do any as we have to sign for them as being done, FFS!

Im being serious now.
This is scary.
An identical CWU and Royal Mail presentation?
I have no doubts now that this deal is a conspiracy. The CWU and RM are the same monster

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: D2D Presentation.
Does the CWU think we all failed basic maths at school. "The national average for D2D is £12.39".
Well lets look at this. We get 1.67 per item. I have three items a week so that's 5.01P for each household i deliver too.
Now to get to RM national average i should be delivering to an average of 247 houses.
Now WTF office has an average delivery of 247 houses.
My delivery is 807 back breaking knackering houses.
So lets get pegasus right then and have 247 delivery points on our duty. (well average)
And can CWU explain why our office wants another 10 FT staff from the office ? :cfo

Re: D2D Presentation.
Some facts:
Current D2D Paymets: £51.4m
down 0.35% on previous year ... not a 10% drop in volume there then!

Re: D2D Presentation.
What we have is a union leadership desperate to remain as a bargaining power between the membership and Royal Mail, because without it thay are relegated to the sidelines and become a bit of a joke - so rather than defend the membership they become partners with the employer, not to get better working conditions and terms but merely to become another tier to Royal Mail management who can utilise an entire organisation in selling whatever the employer wants to a compliant workforce. It was attempted in 2007 and almost succeeded if they get a yes vote this time we will actually be financing a new age of union involvement in the downfall of the membership.
I suppose it IS easier than actually fighting your case and making demands that you expect to be met. After all it must be much easier to make a 3 year agreement whereby you won't have to deal with any problems because there will be a new understanding and a mutual respect within the workplace - yeah right.
