318's

Post by Par_BS23 »

Today I checked the walk logs of the five walks I cover (I'm a Floater and want to work to the 318) for their 318s and found none. As our rep wasn't in I asked the Health & Safety officer and he said there was to his knowledge copies in the managers office should I wish to see them. However I was under the impression all walk logs should have a copy of the 318 for that delivery. Am I right? and if so what should I do?

Also the H&S officer said that as far as he could remember when we signed our contracts we agreed that we would some o/t is this right? or does this refer to Xmas pressure.

I've been in the job for 10 years, and i'm also a floter, and o/t has never been compulsory. All walklogs are supposed to have copies of the 318 in the beginning of the log, somewhere near the list of walk hazards. If it isn't there, then i'd have a word with your manager, and your union rep when you see him, see if you can get your manager to pull his finger out. :no no

You have a right to work in accordance with the 318 of the duty you cover on any particular day.

the 318 is the sheet that defines the timings and roles a particular duty does.
