The question isn't what you will be votng but as a unit rep how will you be advising the members in your D.O.
Will you actively sell this deal if asked to by branch. :hmmmm

I will be informing my members of the branch recomendation and the reasons behind it. My note from our meeting will be typed up and I will then display or even give a copy to each and every member.

The recommendation is just a opinion for which members agree or dissagree with, for me it forms a part of the members decision making process, but should not be taken as gospel.

Look at the letter from HQ and I quote "Only you can decide if the agreement is acceptable" on that basis I am totally chilled out with all recommendations for and against. The recomendation is there to guide but not dictate to the membership.

My D.O wants to know if there is a recommendatiion and why the recommendation is what it is, my biggest and most difficult task will be to get every member to read the whole document.

I have worked out what will happen with pay over the three years and displayed on the my notice board for all to see.

So big boy...what was the recommendation of the branch that sponsors Noel McClean?

Surely this is not under a secrey embargo like those ridiculously futile national negotiations?

Come on!

Share it with us! It will be great to see which side of the fence my old branch is sitting on...

Did you factor in inflation?
Did you factor in no payrise last year?
Did you factor in loss of earnings from present or future D2D?

If not i have my answer on whether you will actively sell the agreement. :cuppa

Lets re phrase it.

What is on display is the numbers that will be on the payslip from April 2010 to March 2013, what those figures willbe worth Ive no idea, but as the agreement says your pay will rise by this that and the other I thought my members might wish to see some actual figures. So sorry if i was wrong to do that :hmmmm

Tell me what figures do you want to see on your payslip in 2 years time? How about £450 basic for all OPG's and no more add ons? Actually make it £500 with add ons will that suit you? In fact lets go the whole hogg and work through to retirement.

Ive got aprox 30 years before retirement so im going for £800 basic on a 30 hour week no add ons by the time i retire.

If explaining the agreement, if explaining the recommedation and the reasons behind the recomendation to the members in my D.O if telling them how i intend to vote and why, is selling the agreement then guilty as charged!!!!!

Getting hung up on recommendations is just daft, most members will listen, understand and then decide if they agree then vote accordingly.

Im my world recommending the agreement and saying to a member you must vote for this are two different things.
