How do I get a job in IB? Do they advertise?

Do I get to look like Tommy Lee Jones and wear a snappy suit? He used to work for the Post Office, you know. I've seen the film.

I'd much rather get kitted out with a stab vest like the one worn by some IB hero who lifted an old guy working a cheque book scam on the primary at our MC a couple of years ago. Damn sexy bit of gear and great for impressing casuals. Better equipped than the lads in Afghanistan, I think, and not so many IEDs to worry about; just the odd biro, which is a vicious implement but can be countered by suitable training.

To where do I send my CV?

Given that there are only 200 people in this unit you'd be hard pressed to get in. Your best bet is to speak to your DOM or MCM, he can give you the sp on it.

Two employees at Carlisles postal sorting office have been suspended over allegations of interference with the checks that make sure letters are arriving on time .
Royal Mail confirmed two members of staff at the Junction Street depot had been suspended as part of a wider investigation centering on Glasgow .
The claims that prompted the probe came through Postcomm , the independent regulator of postal services .
Royal Mail said they concerned possible tampering with the measurement of " quality of service performance " in Scotland .
Royal Mail is understood to use a range of monitoring measures .
These include methods such as placing tags into envelopes and scanning them when they reach their destination to record the arrival time .
It has not been disclosed what type of checks the allegations concern .
A statement issued by the company to the News and Star confirmed an investigation was underway .
It said "Royal Mail is investigating allegations concerning its mail operations in the Glasgow area " .
"The allegations , received via Postcomm , relate to the possibility of interference in the measurement of Royal Mails quality of service performance in this area " .
" Two members of staff in Carlisle have been precautionarily suspended as part of the ongoing investigation " .

The BNP have no authority to be covering the postal news. why have they started doing this? They are racist facists who dont belong on question time either. black people dont even commit many crimes in this county, that happens in america greatly

The security arrangements in carlisle are a shambles to say the least. So called security (untrained) allowing anybody in to collect/drop off friends, family without checks.Part time security barrier.Operates until 9.30 and then its free for all (night time has got to be the most important time for security).IB walking around the office unchallenged (who is responsible for this, and by this stage they are already in the building) on more than one occasion.

If the IB are already walking around then why don't you challenge them as to why they are there especially if they are not displaying their id badge.
It is not just your gaffers job to challenge these people, the IB expect every man to do their bit when it comes to strangers and spend many a day trying to access RM premises unchallenged as far as trying to access unsecured RLEs

reminds me of the time 2 ex xmas casuals popped in to my nightshift canteen at 2 in the morning, to buy something to eat on the way home from a night out, security, my ass..the only time someone gets sent to man the gate is when its broke..even then it depends on the workload..the old way was the best, pay someone to sit & watch!
