Message seems to be u have to make a sacrifice to protect your long term future, hasn't gone down well as people on the floor say the deal for deliveries is just not good enough.

I have heard that reps have been told they must "toe the party line" and sell us the agreement - I have news for them - we are not shopping - we are dropping - and soon we may be stopping.
Unlike the RM management structure where those at the top are only told what they want to hear from those below we are supposed to have a democratic union structure and freedom of expression. I hope the reps who have made the journey to Bournemouth used the opportunity to remind our Union leaders that we should have been consulted - not insulted.

I just wonder what DW and BH will do if they have to go cap in hand to RM and actually be truthful for once and say listen we can't get them to agree - we really are going to have to negotiate this time instead of that 4 month charade to get us over Christmas.

To be honest i bet most reps feel like us. The only problem is if we vote no and go back out then what? and as already said our office which held 100% last time will fail this time.
Im sure the guys from Bournemouth have been told get a yes vote or its the end for the Union, and they will be split as they know its a bag of crap

Re: Any News from Bournemouth
It would be fair to say that the debate today at the National Briefing closed with the audience far from convinced. Yes, there were one or two lively moments/exchanges between the floor and the platform.
Dave and Bob presented their case with confidence over the two days and answered as best they could on the questions and points put forward. Billy, unfortunately, rambled through his piece, going off topic etc which is becoming his trademark it seems!
There appears to be little room to manouvre, especially after 4 months, so it will be interesting what decisions the Branch meetings come too and take into the Units.
And, yes, the Briefing closed with Dave Ward calling for support of the Agreement.

Re: Any News from Bournemouth
We don't necasseraliy have to go back on strike............some people have said that RM will just introduce all the things that they want anyway...........fine let them try.....it will be a whole lot harder without an agreement........we are on our 3rd DOM since our pegasus revision (less than a year ago) and we are getting our 4th soon.... i've seen all haunched over their computers looking stressed.....this is not just tough on us and your DOMs and lineos will be devastated by that approach they are on the front line the same as us.ClaretStevo wrote:To be honest i bet most reps feel like us. Oh dear. So 18 days on strike and the members are asked to vote for something that leaves them worse off than before. You don't think he's been knobbled do you?Ahebban wrote: And, yes, the Briefing closed with Dave Ward calling for support of the Agreement.

Re: Any News from Bournemouth
In my eyes the union is dead in the water! If thats the best deal that they can give its members then i will give them a pay cut by not paying my subs. Its ok for the union to put the price up on subs, but its certainly not ok to have my wages slashed, by some crazy deal...because quite frankly thats what it is CRAZY!!!!ClaretStevo wrote:To be honest i bet most reps feel like us.
