It will also mean that I will have to say NO THANKS to delivering election material as I would like to get home before midnight.
See!!!! There are positives in this
I am led to believe that part of the £20.60 includes money to do election material,so you will have to do whatever comes in.
Sorry if i am wrong.......
Good news you are wrong
The agreement at no point what so ever says election material is will be covered. Election material is not the DTD product. RM are paid by the Ministry of Justice for the delivery of election material and some of that money earned is passed onto us, there are no plans to by RM to change that.

Where did you get this info daz? Still debating it in our office, local union rep is still clueless. Area rep in meetings.
the 20.60 is good news for drivers in our office. they don't do d2ds so they will be 8.23 up and voting yes. a fair deal for everybody? i don't think so . our office is dividing already.

It's only early shift allowance, the driving one has not been touched.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Pegasus can be set like that, but if you have the detail on loosing the cap and how many, then why not state in the agreement that it obviously would have to be a 100% call rate as well as including prep in the duty
lots to find out, but need the union to communicate !
Tell the drivers to get real, park and loop will get rid of then anyway!
Well not get rid of them but they will be doing a walk/reg/tracked and packets as part of their duties.

Unfortunately Georoute will not be set at 100% del span planning due to the increase in D2D, if i am wrong on this, why would the union not advertise this plus point in the agreement?
Lapsing will not cease.
I doubt the business would increase the amount of outdoor duties, unless there is a saving, i.e at the expense of f/t duties

At no point does the agreement state that election material is going to be paid as an extra payment either.
The assumption that the call rate will be 100% is I am afraid erroneous - it won't. If the call rate was to be 100% and that would be across the board nationally why would the agreement not state that? Too many people on here think that their little bubble will remain untouched - it won't and for some it will be a much bigger shock than for others.
It was confirmed at the National Briefing that election material is a separate issue to D2D and subject too its own rewards and conditions for delivery.

There is so much negativity about it, I thought I would try to think of some positives.
There may well be an upside with D2D into workload.
Their preparation may well take the place of lapsing.
Due to the fact that some rounds have many more calls than others, I can see D2D being prepped all together as an office. This would also stop part timers being expected to do there own D2D in the same time as a full timer because the resources as a whole would take care of it.
They will be easier to deliver because weight will be off the shoulders in the future.
The set payment allows people to budget better with their financial commitments.
If you were unable to complete your duty with D2D you can cut off with them. Try doing that with D2D now and see what happens.
The number of calls we have to do each should go down to accomodate the time outdoors for the D2D.
If you do want overtime and it is due to many D2D, you will get normal overtime rates. Now there is no overtime for going over with D2D. An couple of hours ot + £20.60 must be more than most get now?? Lets be honest, most people prep them in their own time and it takes an hour or so.
Anybody got any more advantages please, we have heard so many disadvantages?
Sorry I don't wish to be offensive or upset you but really your post is absolute BOLLOX. Once again this is constructive criticism.

Did they mention the call rate or is that too fine a detail - did anyone ask? That is not meant to be facetious - our branch will have about 65/35 delivery staff to other staff and yet we don't have a single delivery officer on the branch hierarchy - amazing isn't it.
