LTB:Network 2007 - 56 mph Speed Restrictions.

Post by POSTMAN »

Dear Colleague

Network 2007 - 56 mph Speed Restrictions

LTB 539/07 advised Branches of the position regarding Network 2007 - 56 mph Speed Restrictions.

During the past 2 days a number of enquiries have been made to the relevant departments at CWU HQ concerning approaches by Royal Mail management for local representatives to enter into negotiations on proposals for operational/duty changes relating to the above initiative.

Whilst representatives are free to attend meetings with management to obtain information it should be reiterated that this matter is part of our ongoing dispute and as such no National agreement has been reached to deal with this issue. At this moment in time representatives should be advised that the position relayed in LTB 539/07 holds the field and no formal discussions or local agreements should be made until such time as a National agreement has been reached.

Branch Secretaries are requested to ensure that all local/area representatives are made aware of the contents of this LTB as a matter of urgency.

Any enquiries on the above should be directed to the appropriate occupational officer.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

please correct me if i am wrong.

this relates to the later starts that management say will start no later than august 12th.
but until the industrial action is sorted there has been no national agreement over it, therefore management cannot bring it in unless we sign up to it locally. so basically they are telling us it will start by august 12th just to bully us into agreeing to it or can they still bring it in even if the ia is not settled.

hope that makes sense.
