Since the agreement came out there has been VERY little from RMC's very own three wise men (Dingo, Truth, Lovejoy).
Dispite visiting the site, their comments have been nil or at best kept to a minimum
What is their take on the deal & how do they explain the overwhelming negative reaction to the deal.

if they hold the position they claim to, taking them at their word. i would expect them to be busy, they have all consistantly said that they are undecided, they may not like it either...i'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

The other unbelivably given the vagueness of this agreement which they recommend we accept.....concerns RM not sticking to the interim agreement?

Re: The Three Wise Men......
They've got a dilemma haven't they. Push a deal that that on balance is a big reduction in their members terms and conditions in return for a vague promise of inclusion and partial job protection. So they end up pushing the management agenda simply to get a seat at the table and take the edges off the worst management proposals.
However this course of action is doomed and will not secure their aim of protecting union influence, simply because the membership will evaporate. Why would you pay for an organisation to negotiate pay cuts and bigger workloads. Just stick your head around any DO door and listen to the chorus of sellout and see ya CWU.

You've got me thinking very seriously there BELIAL. If a yes vote goes through, and the full horror of this , ahem, "deal" is put upon postal workers, remaining in CWU membership would have to be very seriously considered. RM will have conned the union into weakening itself! However this course of action is doomed and will not secure their aim of protecting union influence, simply because the membership will evaporate. Why would you pay for an organisation to negotiate pay cuts and bigger workloads. Vote NO to save ourselves AND our union!

Spot on,the union would be dead and you dont have to be Quincy or Columbo to work that out!BELIAL wrote:They've got a dilemma haven't they.
