Also with the capping removed could RM not take on the more profitable time sensitive leaflet work which would mean they could dictate what day they were delivered.

4 lots of D2D’s on a sat anyone ? :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

The idea is that you do 40 hours work and guys in the callers office do 40 hours therefore you get paid the same.
Part timers work less hours so their proportion of the D2D income is the appropriate fraction.

The whole deal is extending the 'work all paid hours' mantra from the last deal.

They have been homogenizing pay and allowances for years, remember driving allowances. The whole idea is that any bloke work X hours gets paid X money, its that simple......

He gets paid for 40 hours labour, you get paid for 30 hours labour. Thats the whole point of this part of the deal......

But that 20 quid is supposed to be extra pay for doing d2d's. I do exactly the same number of d2d's as a full timer, but I am going to be paid less for them.

The round I'm covering this week has 1000 calls. Another round in the office has only 200. So, being on a 30 hour contract, this agreement basically is going to make MY d2d's worth 20.60/(1000x3)x0.75 = about half a penny each (if we have only three contracts), while my colleagues are worth 20.60/(200x3) = about 3.5p each. Is his time worth seven times what mine is?

Yes, but the point of it is that he OBVIOUSLY gets paid for 40 hours as compared to my 30. This is an ADDED remuneration for doing d2d's, which we do regardless of how many hours we work. Or should I only be delivering 75% of them?

Yeah but thats 10 hours indoor work not posting those bloody d2ds i made 42 pounds this week for d2ds but if this deal gets in ill make 15 pounds five pounds less then a 40 contract so maybe as someone else said i guess i only need to do 75% then its just stupid.

Thats a load of bollocks and you know it, whether you are part or full time, walks are supposed to be 3.5 hours, so the pro rata thing goes out the window,we all spend the same amount of time posting letters, the only thing a F/T does different to me is IPS.

This deal will see me as a part timer £34 a week worse off, If Dave Ward thinks I'm givng that a YES vote he can f**k off, but we know it will go through anyway because all the blokes in MC's will be voting YES and rolling us over, they don't have to deliver D2D's now, so they are not going to worry about a cut there.

Notice also, that the d2d's are now going to be a "a 52 weeks a year product." How many THOUSANDS do you think we'll be forced to deliver in December?

Well if i'm correct, there are a lot more members in deliveries than there are in MC's. The ball is still in our court if we're not happy ... :whistle

Ok then would it not be true to say that D2D is mostly outdoor workload and a tiny bit indoor where a F/T person already gets 10 hrs on average more than a P/T because of ips ect.., so if both F/T and P/T have the same amount of workload outdoor i think it would be illeagal to say to both go on deliver these 600 D2D each but because you are P/T you are getting £10 less. Think the union and cwu would will be inidated with victimisation complaints on that one.

Exactly especialy with this little nugget tucked away in there
To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees.

Banner18 the difference between P/T(30 hrs) and F/T(40 hrs) is indoor duty . P/Timers prep and deliver their D2Ds same as F/Timers
so tell me why they should be paid less?
