Earlier starts?

Post by bedfordrl »

I asked this question elsewhere and probably in the wrong place so I will try here.....

If they are saying that "no one will start after 07.00am " does that mean the end of hybred duties that started wiping out the SA's? that worked 10.00am until 18.00pm with the box collection tacked on the end?.

And does it mean as we are loosing the early start allowance, from when we did start early ,that we could in theory go back to earlier starts i.e. 05.00am but minus the early start allowance?,this would give scope for four day weeks and make the customers happy ?.

The agreement states that the vast majority of full time duties will start no later than 7:00am. Please note the use of "vast majority" and "full time duties".

There will be little prospect of early starts as you will be not be getting your final delivery of walk sequenced mail until very much later. Currently in our DO we receive the second batch (approx 40% according to RM) at around 8:20am. For many offices this will be later still. I believe it depends on the distance your DO is from the Mail Centre as to when your mail is run through the machines.

it does mention in the agreement, cross functional working where it says adding collections
will try to get it for you, do remember seeing it
i do like the phrase that runs through the agreement as it seems it covers everything
"to protect full time jobs"
believe that at your peril, we have hybrid duties, delivery then collection, we were told to protect full time jobs, well they have got rid of some of them split delivery off for the part timers and given the collection to the hub [miles away] makes sense, no it doesn't
the 75=25 ratio spilt, says they plan for this, so it isn't written in stone then?

idots!
