Working for RM while on Annual leave !!!

Post by islfor »

In our office we have some Pmn who come in while on A/L to cover sick leave when we are short staffed and get paid overtime on top of A/L the following week, I've heard this is illegal to do so, and RM are breaking emplyment laws. How do we get by to resolve this issue ?

This is wrong and should not be allowed to happen
Get your rep or area rep to chase this up and quote the section on A/L from The Way Forward Agreement which clearly states this is not allowed.

its not illegal, rm are not breaking employment laws, they must give you the oppertunity to take your annual leave but they dont have to make you take it, if someone is foolish enough to say they will work during their annual leave its on their own head, not breaking any employment laws but may be against the way forward agreement
