Re: OFFICIAL RESPONSES TO AGREEMENT
Royal Mail is handing 145,000 posties a 6.9 per cent pay rise in a staggering peace deal.
Staff will also collect up to £2,500 in BONUSES.
There is even a SHORTER working week under the agreement, revealed last night. It follows months of bitter talks and a national strike last year.
This is what the Sun thinks of our deal!!
Are we all missing something? Is it 'staggering'?
I think not!
As usual lazy journalists printing what sun readers want to hear!
It will really confuse these idiots when we reject this staggering deal of the decade!!

Re: OFFICIAL RESPONSES TO AGREEMENT
That might be because the three press releases are from groups concerned with the consumers, the business and the union - there's nothing for the workers ( it used to be the union in that role, but as we have seen, their wants and aspirations have violently diverged from ours in the last 4 months )paranoid-android wrote:It Seems that everybody is as pleased as punch with this agreement BUT the workforce.![]()

Re: OFFICIAL RESPONSES TO AGREEMENT
You are absolutely right. In the past the union would be trying to defend us against inroads into our pay and conditions not agreeing with the employer - the tragedy is we are paying for our own downfall. It would be interesting to see how much the four months of "negotiating", and I do use the term loosely, has cost us in travel, hotel, food, pies and that's apart from how much it is going to cost us if it's a yes.smokerjim wrote:That might be because the three press releases are from groups concerned with the consumers, the business and the union - there's nothing for the workers ( it used to be the union in that role, but as we have seen, their wants and aspirations have violently diverged from ours in the last 4 months )paranoid-android wrote:It Seems that everybody is as pleased as punch with this agreement BUT the workforce.![]()

Re: OFFICIAL RESPONSES TO AGREEMENT
If it is voted in - I would predict that at least, and I am being conservative here, 50% of union members will leave the union - most feel they have been badly let down and feel that they can at least off set some of the losses by keeping £150 per year.realmichael wrote:It would be laughable if it wern't so sad!
