NOW
Basic Pay - £347.61
Shift Allowance - £12.60
Avg. D2D's - £20.74 (3 lots at 1.75p with 395 calls)

Total Gross Pay - £380.95

Here is how my pay would for next few years look should we vote yes.

New Deal - 2010
Basic Pay - £354.56
D2D Payment - £20.80

Total Gross Pay - £375.36 (£5.59 worse off than my current pay)

New Deal - 2011
Basic Pay - £359.53
D2D Payment - £21.09

Total Gross Pay - £375.36 (£0.33 worse off than my current pay)

New Deal - 2012
Basic Pay - £372.11
D2D Payment - £21.83

Total Gross Pay - £375.36 (£12.99 better than my current pay)

I know there have been people saying not everybody gets the shift allowance but I would say majority of the delivery workforce do. Another thing, is that I have a low call amount compared to most people on here and they'll be a lot worse off than me!
395 calls?????
How are people still doing only that many calls??
The average in my office is between 700 and 900 calls with one walk doing 1200 calls
It would take most people alot longer to get any type of pay increase. :arrrghhh

why dont u add on the lump sums and average that out weekly?
By and large the lump sums are what we should have under colleague share and is already our money, the next group of lump sums are £200 on non-sequenced revision after the agreement is ratified the rest are pie in the sky if you trouble to read the fine print - too many people are looking at the £ signs and ignoring the detail.

There is nothing in this deal which benefits delivery staff nor safeguards their future despite what people will say. There is far too much in between which hasn't been decided, such as revision tools, resource meetings are supposed to take place now and don't, managers make up the rules as they see fit and nothing whatsoever will change. All this we are all pals now is nothing but a front to get an agreement - as soon as they agreement is ratified it will be back to the old ways until the workforce have had enough of it and good old RM will trot out the CWU lap dog again.

Take the IR framework for example how many have understood that disagreement will no longer be passed up the line? Oh no - now it has to be negotiated locally and only passed up the line in extreme circumstances. Read the fine print forget the £ signs - we may have been bamboozled in 2007, which I also voted NO for but only fools get fooled twice.

Sorry to tell you but with inflation currently running above 2% and possibly rising to as much as 10% (total) over the next three years
that 13quid in TWO YEARS TIME could equate to a pay cut. You would need around a 10% PAY RISE on todays pay to keep your pay at the same level according to worst-case predictions from Bank of England. That would be somethiong like 38quid increrase by 2012. At their best-case prediction, which would be keeping inflation at 2% pa till 2012 you would need a pay rise of 6% (total) this being around 23pounds just to equate to a pay freeze.

So the long and short of that is by 2012 you will be earning (in terms of real world buying power) ATLEAST 10pounds LESS per week with this deal.

Straight4ward wrote:A small point and sorry to upset some of the calculations that people have done but the £20.60 will be paid 52 weeks of the year. Currently, with 2 weeks off at Christmas and 4 weeks holiday a year I am only paid for D2D's for 46 weeks of the year.
Would need to add a further £123.60 to the new pay total for the year.
Before the torrent of abuse rains down upon me, like I said, a small point but in the interests of accuracy. LOL.
That's why I used the bottom end of the scales, (600 calls and 5p per call), it is easier to explain to the majority that way than to start removing their 4 weeks A/L and the currently 4 week Christmas pressure postponement.

In the interests of accuracy it still wouldn't be 44 weeks because of course our PT members cannot afford to buy additional weeks!

It has been cleverly drafted to make it look like a really good deal to third parties. Do they really think we are that stupid? My DOM was going round this morning saying 'aren't you all lucky getting a £1400 bonus?' :mad Labour must be behind this agreement, the spin is unbeliveable ;liar
