Heres a thought.
Now that D2Ds are included in the work load would it now stand that customers with "no junk mail" signs on their property wont recieve the D2D items? At present we are told to ignore these signs.
Now were not being paid per item, the customer can 'refuse' the items, just like regular mail. With d2d into workload customers would no longer have to 'opt out' of d2d, just stick a sign on their letterbox.
RM wouldnt be able to do you for non delivery as the customer refused the item of '4th class mail'.
This would significantly reduce the amount of d2ds i would take out.

But as these properties are not on Royal Mails list of those opting out the onus is on us to deliver there - but if you didn't, saying they were refused as you suggest, perhaps a red sticker would need to be put on them.

Perhaps this is how the deal protects full time jobs extra time to prep the extra D2D then extra time to kill them off as refused items, most will have an address on so some one would have to deliver the thousands of returned items to the sender.Lounge Lizard wrote:But as these properties are not on Royal Mails list of those opting out the onus is on us to deliver there - but if you didn't, saying they were refused as you suggest, perhaps a red sticker would need to be put on them.
Dave and Billy have saved full time jobs and solved the recycling problem for local councils to boot. As the Meerkats say "Simples"
