Can listen on BBC listen again site, interview was on around 6.10 tonight
An "industry expert", in a nation that has flogged off nearly all it's industry, and now has so very little left, we make Italy look like the industrial powerhouse of the world?
I think we could very easily do without him, and his fuming.
Thanks for posting the agreement as sent out by the union. This morning our manager had an email come through outlining the agreement, he told us about it in our WTL session this morning, but it gave much more detail than the one posted here. I wonder does anyone have a copy of that agreement, and would you be able to post it here ?
Aye, full timers maybe shafted with the D2D but part timers even more so, hilarious that you're expected to deliver 600+ D2D for £12.36 Work that one out on a hourly rate and it would be well under the NMW.
Love the part on health and safety. When they can't even supply you with boots to do your duty. Been waiting since October/November for a pair. Hilarious really.
RM seems to shaft us at every turn, and all the union does is bend over. I'm afraid I'll be one who'll be taking my union fees and sticking them in a wee jar every week. Pretty sure it will be money well spent at the end of the year.
...This interim arrangement applies to redundancies, applying the criteria in Appendix 5 in MtSF...
could anyone tell me , where can i find Appendix 5 ??

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

does anybody know if d2d will be bagged together or is it 2.5 hours prepping them, if so im voting no.
The time needed to prep them will be allocated into your contracted hours, just like it is now. However if the number is increased, the time needed to prep them will need to be increased, but you'll still only have 8 (or 5 or whatever) hours to work, so some other work will have to be removed, in order to provide the time needed to prep the Door to Doors.

Has anyone yet discovered what the call rate is going to be? Because it's not obvious from the agreement - nor is it obvious what revision tools are going to be applied to the inclusion of door to doors on prep and delivery time, which I suspect is going to be very loosely applied. Make no mistake if we thought that the 2007 agreement was looser than a brides nightie this will be like a hookers knickers.

I must say the managers have been grinning like cock virgins since details of this deal have been released - it is so "good" I'm thinking of becoming a manager myself
