They think it will keep the ratio of FT/PT at 75/25 and they get more money from FT members.dblad wrote:As anyone ever wondered why the union is so keen to increase D2Ds..what are they getting out of this

Re: D2D payment for everyone?
yeah half the work force don't touch d2ds so they are bound to vote yes (money for nothing ) and us walkers who have been doing 3 a week for years get shaftedDirtyHarry wrote:It sure looks that way. They must have been pissed when they dreamt that little gem up.hong wrote:Is it true that every Royal Mail worker will be offered this lump sum for the D2D deal? I have heard even afternoon staff, drivers and everyone else who dont even deliver mail or work Saturdays will get this payment. Surley this cannot be right?

Re: Putting d2d's into your work load
If it's your day off, you won't be the OPG performing the delivery route will you?tomangoe wrote:The other part I don't like is "In future D2D will become the responsibility of the OPG performing the delivery route and as such will be treated the same as all other traffic streams",so if its you day off or you have a few days leave and the cover doesn't do em,do we HAVE to ?

It also states that "delivery employees will have the ability to manage the delivery of the items themselves on the proviso that all items are delivered within the week", which appears to mean that they are the responsibility of the walk-holder, including days off.

'This is payable to all delivery office employees directly tagged to and working in the delivery function.'
So you must be 'working in the delivery function' whatever the HELL that means but yes that would include buisness delivery drivers, collection drivers even.
