Dear Mssrs Leighton & Crozier

Post by Codebreaker »

You are well paid and know the only reason you receive such good bonuses is for but one reason.

The GREAT performance of your entire workforce.

I have been wondering why the profits of Royal Mail have not been announced. We three (plus everyone on here) should realise that the only reason the profits have not been made public is for one reason only. Everyone will learn that you both have LIED to your workforce. The public will learn and be very unhappy with you both.

The support given to your workforce has increased - not from you both but from the Public. They seem to be more worried about the USO than you.

We three know that if you drive through the 'strings' and other proposals to the Regulator then you will be saying bye to Jo and Josephine Bloggs - valued members of the public and all your employees.

Pretty sure you both are more interested in your futures - to hell with the USO - to hell with the public - to hell with your workforce. So much for listening, huh?

Well, heads up, there are moves afoot in the House of Commons to address the fact that you BOTH are WORRYING THE GOVERNMENT. You both are worrying me, your entire workforce, the entire population covered by the USO, your Management colleagues and now the Government. They have more power that either of you. They were elected, in effect, by the people.

NOW the people are reacting. Pressurizing and the Government will act. If you don't.

I am so sad that it has come this far. Doesn't make any sense unless people GRASP the fact that you both are doing it for your own ends. Allan - looks like your proposal was (in the end) rejected to BUY BRITISH HOME STORES.

To paraphrase a friend of mine - WHAT A F*CKING LIBERTY!

So much for Royal Mail, so much for 'caring' about your workforce and their voice.

You make me ashamed to work for Royal Mail, the pair of you.

However I will not be beaten. You should know though I cannot afford it I will be on the picket line FOREVER. But I don't think it will be that long till an agreement is reached. HOWEVER you do need to listen to your workforce, who elected the CWU to represent them in negotiations with Royal Mail.

Democratically elected and yet you both agree NOT to RETURN TO NEGOTIATIONS?

1. LISTEN TO YOUR WORKFORCE
2. HEAR WHAT THEY SAY
3. TAKE IT ON BOARD
4. STOP PRETENDING THERE IS NO MONEY
5. DECLARE YOUR BONUSES TO THE WORLD
6. DECLARE THE PROFITS OF ROYAL MAIL
7. LISTEN TO THE ADVICE YOU HAVE RECIEVED FROM THE GOVERNMENT
8. STOP BEING OBSESSED WITH YOUR FUTURE
9. ACT AS RESPONSIBLE CHAIR AND CEO

And lastly start behaving like responsible HUMAN BEINGS for if you do not it will not be your workforce that suffer - it will be you both. If the Government stand up and take control then you both, logically, should look nothing but STUPID in the future.

This is the most important time in the history of Royal Mail. It will be so in history. Think about the future of us all. And please stop being so obstinate - YOU NEED TO RETURN TO THE TABLE AND TALK.

So says your workforce time and time again. The Government KNOW you are not listening to us.

This, Mssrs Leighton & Crozier, I see as your LAST CHANCE.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Guys, thanks for your comments.

1. News
17 July 2007
UPDATE BY THE COMMUNICATION WORKERS UNION ON THE ROYAL MAIL POSTAL DISPUTE

The Communication Workers’ Union Postal Executive have met this afternoon and have taken the decision to escalate the level of strike action due to the lack of progressive discussions with Royal Mail.

As Royal Mail have made it clear they are unwilling to engage in meaningful negotiations, the postal executive will meet this evening and tomorrow morning to plan a programme of strike action.

The dates announced tomorrow will be strategically selected in order to maximise disruption to all Royal Mail services.

2. News from my emails to Mr Leighton and Mr Crozier?

NO RESPONSE.

Where is the Dignity and Respect at Work in that?!
