What happens to those members of staff who get the old 4am shift allowance as part of their protected pay?, not sure on the exact figure, about £24 I think, how much of a pay cut are they expected to take?
Thats me!

I will be out of pocket £30 odd a week depending on type of Door to Door. Always promoted & supported the union thanks ace negotiators! :no no :no no :no no

Yeah it's not a bounus, i'm just saying i wasn't in the least surprised that it's being paid pro rata.
F/timers won't be doing any more 2d2 work than P/timers, and that is unfair....but this supplement is also being paid inplace of Early attendance allowance how many P/timers currently recieve this? none. or would be likely to do so in the future even if made full time? again none. we lost this battle (for EAA) in 2007.

the discussion in the canteen i refferd to we were talking about F/timers with indoor only duties, who obviously don't do any 2d2s will receive the full amount (there are 3 in our office) whereas P/timers who do deliver them won't.

but i do think that now our expectations have been lowered we will find out that it's more £20.60....if it's significantly more it won't be a deal breaker for me. but i'll be voting no anyway purely on the abolishen of delivery spans. i'd rather not have an agreement than one with this in it!

i'm also less than convinced on performance standards, there are things i like in performance standards...looks like testing geo rute against the real enviorment, but it all seems a bit hazey

think you will find some p/t staff get the early shift allowance i get just under £10 a week , and remember i started at 5am just the same as f/t but got less because .. wait for it pro-rata nothing to do with starting at the same time as the title suggests but because i worked less hours, so it should have been the longer hour allowance

Okay i didn't know you or any partime staff got early shift...my apppoligies.
i was trying to make the point that partimers were losing on 2d2 and fulltimers were losing on early attendance. it would appear that your losing on both and gaining on neither.....

I can understand you being upset by that, i would be too! I'm not over the moon about it myself and it doesn't effect me as adversly as you.

I'll repeat a point i made earlier on a diffrent subject. i'd rather not have any new agreement than have this agreement.

You're right in a sense belle, we don't agree, we say no, they try to impose change, each office goes to disagreement and polls for a ballot to strike which HQ will eventually get round to sanctioning and we go back to square one - chaos rules again. Without D2D agreement then it is situation normal - no increase and no absorption into work load - they do need this agreement.

I Think it's probably the worst deal in the history of any union.
Less money and worse terms and conditions.
If Carlsberg made deals it would look f*ck all like this one. :evil/mad[/quote]

unless they were doing it for Royal Mail

Its an age old tactic.

The CWU and RM knew we wouldnt accept their agreement so they leak the worst case scenario and hope we agree to the original.

Sneakey sven...
lets hope so ,if not we will be back on the gate
is the ballot still live ????
yes the ballot is still live
looks like we will be using it soon then

no problem belle we are all getting sh*t, and no matter what they think RMC does make a difference, through this site i for one am more informed than i have ever been, and i can say my office is more clued up too as some of them visit here, so as i have said in another thread i think the arrogance of RM and the CWU will come back to haunt them on this one

Even if we can't sustain a strike. We don't agree to this agreement. Higgson can be 'Hanibal in Rome!'

spilie i just got your point about your early attendance allowance you don't get the full amount because it was pro rata too. The reality is that any supplement paid pro rata is ineffect part of our salary and our 6.9% pay rise in 2007 was nothing of the sort, and this looks the same. at the very least i think it should go into basic pay. Then at least if a partimer worked overtime up to 40 hours they would get the same pay for the same job.
