I think most right thinking people saw the absolute stupidity of Billy's , "don't worry folks, I'll save Christmas", action.
You were right then, you're right now, and on this issue you will remain forever right.

Re: I've had to pull the agreement download.
Sorry dirty, in all the important posts on here I missed this. I have nothing against London posties, in fact I actually recognised that without their input there would not have been a national vote - all I'd ask is that they in turn recognise that without the support of the national ballot you would still be taking days off on strike. Your ilk tend to be insular in what really goes on outside of London. Whereas your branches are a bus ride away from HQ ours are far enough away to be ignored more often than not. You may not believe this DH but we don't have flat caps and whippets and we in turn take umbrage at London taking all the credit for getting Royal Mail to the table - so dig in to your pie and mash or jellied eels and pop down to the Queen Vic.DirtyHarry wrote:Bollocks. I hate this so-called deal as much as anyone in the country, as do/will the majority of London postmen/women.dvbuk55 wrote:You can reassure Mrs ft I no longer do the webcam strip on the minitool website. The coroner is apparently confused as to who shot who in the back of the head first whilst systematically stabbing one another in the back - oh and I do mean stabbing and not "stabbing" though to see this deal it does make you wonder. I take comfort in the fact that the mailing list for the next ballots for the CWU Leadership will be half what it currently is - as they say in places other than London - as ye sow so shall ye reap, sow the wind reap the whirlwind - and also f*ck you jack I'm alright, which they do say in London.fishtank wrote:dvbuk55 wrote:Would any of the union glitteratti not like to comment on this so called deal - they've been pimping it long enough sight unseen - well we've now seen it - and if you could just highlight the good bits, which most of us seem to have missed we would be more than grateful.
Now lovejoy how are the PEC reacting to this "Deal of the Century" are they still in a darkened room with the sound of dripping water, have they got slivers of bamboo down their fingernails yet, have they prepared the stocks, manacles and chains for the next group next week?
If any if them have seen this agreement they may as well stay at home, because JC himself, reading on the mount with a basket of loaves and fishes whilst strolling down the canal couldn't sell this.
Stop making me laugh dvb,mrs fishtank is wondering what websites i'm looking at.![]()
I've already shed enough tears reading Dave,Bob and Billy's joint suicide note.
This chip on your shoulder regarding London, really is starting to get on my feckin' wick. We've had the balls to tell Royal Mail guvnors that despite what shyte agreements have been made, they're not going to have evrything they're own way.
Even, if for some unknown reason, this deal is agreed by the wider membership, any part of it that doesn't suit the best interests of our members in my office, will not get in, and if it's forced on us, we'll be out on the gate sooner than you can say, "by eck, Ethell, get me flat cap will yer, I want to take Whippets for a walk."
I'm getting sick and tired of reading moany shyte from northerners like yourself. Shut the feck up, grow some feckin' balls, and fight against what you think is unjust. You and your colleagues are the union, not the feckin' useless w*****s holed up in Wimbledon.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: I've had to pull the agreement download.
as usual your right again crusher lokks like delivery will be shafted, but then its our turn again. have not seen you for a year or two how are youcrusher wrote:This agreement really concerns me speaking on behalf of Area Distribution Drivers. We are being asked to vote on a framework which is then in turn to be negotiated locally to trigger the lump sum payments. How can we vote on something Nationally and then be expected to agree it locally?
I can see for sure now what will happen, if the deal is accepted Nationally, locally Management will use this as a green light to changes they have already planned and forget local negotiation.
Just reading through the delivery part is enough for me to be voting no! You lads and lasses are going to suffer the most yet again for the least reward.

Re: I've had to pull the agreement download.
I was told today, that maybe the £20.60 was not what was going to be offerd to us in the final draft.
Will just have to wait and see how much, more is more.
But even if it was £100 more it would not be enough to get me to say yes to the rest of it.
This Deal Is a Disaster. For Us, For the Cwu and for RM.
