WAGES

Post by swangle »

Just heard from a mate who works at TWICKENHAM JUBILEE MAIL CENTRE, sw London, that he's been paid for going out on the first days strike.
When he questioned this ,he was told that he will continue to be paid for strike daya until the dispute is over, then they will deduct in one hit all the days owed!
This can't be right can it?
Then nothing suprises me now!
Anyone got any answers.
cheers

Sheffield area are not doing that I assure you. I wouldn't have thought it was the norm. May be an idea for him to bank the days they're paying him then it won't come as a blow as and when this is ever sorted out.

I would seek legal advice, most solicitors give free 20 min discussions.

I don't think that they can deduct it all in one go.

Get it in writing about the intent to continue to pay then deduct in one go and then get legal advice.
