Clothed in any colour this agreement is a lose lose situation for the membership and I for one don't intend to labour any longer in the pros and cons because there are no pros - it's a no from me and believe it or not I would be one of the few to benefit from this deal, marginally - my grandfather rights payment is reduced from 14.65 to 12.90 but the 2% pay rise equals 5.90 less tax and insurance will give me a net £15.?? and the reason I will make something is because I don't do D2D.

This deal is an insult to every single postie but more especially to the delivery officers.

That was the sentiment here before P&M in '07 - and it was swiftly followed by the sentiment of "What.....??? How the F*CK did it get voted in!" To take any result for granted is more dangerous than anything else I can imagine.

Im sorry The Truth...just read some of your responses on this thread and to be frank you are talking out of your bum bum...

The FACT is that if this deal is ratified RM will be RAPING its staff of critical earning. Earnings which could be make or break on rent or mortgage payments for example.

Im shocked the CWU has taken 4 months to screw over it members on top of increasing subs in the meantime...Id be embarrased if i were you.

It's not as big a stitch up for pt as first seems. In my office the majority of pt are on a 33 hr contract and get less than £ 3 network proctection. So at present there basic is £286.77( £8.69 per hr). The new basic will be £299.92( £9.09 per hr) they will also get £17 pro rata supplement now take the £3 network protection, they will get £14 for d2d.

It's still not not good but it's not a stich up!

I worked out the new hourly rate by adding two percent to our full time basic and then dividing it by 39

Without the D2D supplement and just the payrise your gross would be. £300.38
So in 3 years time you will be delivering ? number of D2D 52 weeks of the year for £9.77

This is mine at the moment my D2D over the year averages at £21.17 over 600calls and 52 weeks so my gross is £381.15

2010 375.16
2011 380.41
2012 393.72

The final year before i even get a pay rise.I don't think so. :cuppa

Sorry,i can see your logic that the glass may well be half full, but the supplement is a red herring.
there is one glaring error that without trawling the site,i believe has gone unmentioned,it doesn't appear to say that
you must take 20% each day,but that the onus is on the duty holder to take them over the course of the week.
So in theory,if the Duty holder is struggling Mon-Fri and can only take say 60%,the cover guy will have 40% left to do on saturday(remember this could be 5 or 6 items)plus it doesn't say how many more royal mail could introduce for delivery specifically on saturday?
Pro-rata or not the renumeration will not match the workload.

You do have a point robd it states in the agreement that D2D will now be treated like any other traffic stream so what is to stop a manager "streaming" it out to enable a duty holder to complete on time and then expecting the floater to pick up the slack the following day. :hmmmm

I have just looked at my wage slip and so far on week 48 I have a assessable pay of 16185.36  based on what's in new pay offer I willbe on £18000 by week 48 next year. I don't do any overtime but have done d2d all year.

Opps  I meant to put £18.185.36. Not 16 was trying to show I was out of pocket my apologies!
