I'm not crazy, but this agreement could be voted in.

At tomorrows joint press conference. Dave and Billy are obviously going to be praising up the "deal of the century", anything else will make them look like clowns. :whistle So then they recommend the deal, the PEC endorse it, and it seems to me that a lot of divisional and area reps toe the party line....so we end up with HQ recommending a yes vote. Then it goes down to us posties....Us, the hard core 10% on here know exactly what we need to vote....but what about the other 90%...the lump sum brigade, the drivers who don't do D2D, the people who are not interested in office politics..the list goes on. I voted against the 2007 agreement, so did a lot of people I work with...but it still came in. :arrrghhh Hopefully I'm wrong. :pray

The problem is not the number of people who vote Yes.
It's the ones who could vote No and, for reasons I will never understand, don't bother to vote at all :arrrghhh then moan about the changes they didn't vote against when they had the chance to

You refer to "the drivers who don't do D2D" you should of added "at the moment". As "park and loop" is rolled out across the country, there won't be any delivery drivers who don't do d2d. Bulk, specials, parcels and d2d will be taken by everyone in shared vans. The d2d aspect of the agreement will potentially affect everyone.

i agree this is slavery .if i was p/t i would be very unhappy with the idea of doing the same work for less money at the end of the day D2D are a pain in the arse at the best of times :evil/mad i think a paperboy gets paid more than that

Anybody looking at the agreement can see its exactly like 2007 agreement, it looks to vague. RM certainly have lots scope to abuse it and get away with it.

yep,far to vague,i can't believe ppl will vote a YES on this,i would love to see the management agreement that will be passed down to DOM's:

Expect some flak, abuse it as much as you can, continue cutting costs, bully the F/T into leaving, enjoy your fat bonus

The Newspapers are already selling this as a done deal....i.e Rupert Murdoch (Who does he back for Government?)

People will vote yes and think later, they will see the magic words £1000 6% and think holidays are coming mmm Summer time. Then whine later :Boo hoo!

I am still reminded of the scene at "Animal farm" George Orwell when the cheating at cards is revealed and there is no apparent difference between the Pigs and Men

Glad I'm not paying £3 per week to keep the EC in expenses but it's probably the best Agreement you'll get
Would you rather do something else for less money- when my mail centre closes I will at least have had £1000 to kill my liver with or pay my taxes to kill someone I don't know via friends and relations in the forces in Wars on Terror or for Oil

So never mind you'll be loaded down like Donkeys with D2D ,,,,,£1000 will get a Yes vote :evil/mad

After all the "SHAREHOLDER" will still stuff you after the General Election :shhhhh
