Good evening , its nice to be asked to give my opinion. For the record I have given updates in the past and I have given opinions in the past.

I wont be commenting on the agreement parts until after the announcement on Monday. I have a view , as do the branch's who I cover and we will discuss which way we go as we always do at meetings with reps and members.

Two important amendments were carried at the PEC which will have a lot of revelance to the way I vote and the way the Branch"s who I cover vote. This will be published on Monday.

For the record it was other people who said £30 , £29 and £27.50 and I stated that figure was wrong. Remember the supplement was only about allocating the monies spent last year on door to door and the shift allowance. This was never about new monies. Approximately only a third in deliveries perform 3 items on door to door opposed to 99 500 who work in deliveries. So if you share the monies out to drivers , reserves, nights , indoor staff and rest day covers then some will be losers and some will be winners in regards to money.

Some like to give myself and others some stick , that is fair enough , we have broad shoulders but remember we led the members in London who took 20 days of strike action to ensure this union got into negotiations whilst some of you were in hiding.

Only a minority of Branch's stood up and were willing to fight Royal Mail last year when the union asked for a number of units per Branch to ballot. Instead others waited for the national ballot.

I will decide my opinion next week and I will inform you. However my duty is to the members I represent first. Anyone in London will know we have more pressing problems to be dealt with first.

Your part about members hiding............if find a bit strong..........they only way we get info is from outside sources......our reps have never mentioned anything to do with London or other areas and their fight with RM, so we are kept in the dark.if there was more communication and if a ballot regarding these situations are needed then maybe action could be taken all ALL levels. I think the whole of the CWU needs an overhaul in how it gets the message to its members

And that is a very good point we all need to know what is going on but part time staff are left out more than most as they turn up for work after team briefs with the managers and most of the reps are out on their duties and part time staff hear little if anything that is going on!.

dingo i thought they were instructed by hq to wait for the national ballot my office was i'm sure ? plenty were in dissagreement with royal fail over forced change were they not ? still think the agreement will be crap and the tide must turn towards the leaders who brokered this agreement as i'm sure the final one will be not very different from what has already been disclosed

part timers are treated in such a way delibratly .

its there plan

the more part time walks they create - the more staff are in the dark - and not members of unions.

RM are slowly but shurly turning the whole office into part timers.

then mission will be complete a whole office of non unionised staff that are getting paid 10 pound a week to deliver unlimited d2d's.

Reckless is a better word. Doesn't help anyone if its subject to further revision.
