The Truth ....Dingo.....sorry, but you're going to have to accept that you're going to get a lot of stick on here for being so vocal during the last 4 months. I always used to value your updates, even if i didn't agree with some things you said. one thing is bugging me though......why did you let us believe the d2d supplement would be higher than £30?....I know you only said "it wont be £30" ....but everyone assumed it would be higher, you could have corrected us. Why no mention of the supplement being Pro rata for Part timers? I'm a union member and part timer...WHY IS THE SUPPLEMENT PRO RATA FOR PART TIMERS? This is disgusting.

Ok fair do"s lovejoy, i just cant believe what i have seen today and needed to vent my frustration somewhere and you popped your head up (after being asked to i must add in your defence).

I supported the union on the 2007 agreement taking a lot of flak for it but i believed it was a decent deal under circumstances(now ready for more flak).

But this agreement goes beyond the pale unless Monday brings miracles which i entirely doubt.

Lovejoy you are a source of information when others have none, you have an opinion and so do I, there may be some things on which we agree but few and far between, I respect your opinion and your steadfast approach. We are brothers in adversity.

One i will not insult anyone who has done so much for this site but we need to know why an agreement that took so long delivers so little for the members of the CWU it is perhaps one agreement to far we probably would have been better to carry on the strike till the bitter end than end up with this wedge of paper to me it is nothing more than a door stop!. It says little if anything on delivery spans or CDV's their is nothing written in stone it is all words and working groups!.

Does this include a local rep in a medium small D.O in a area where the Tories can command over 50% of the vote at a GE where there is not one single Labour cllr on any of the four town councils or the district council who is a apid up member of the Green aprty and whose role in the green aprty is the internal running of the local branch where the local rep will not be standing for any council postion EVER and will not be seeking sponsership money from the CWU?

Good evening , its nice to be asked to give my opinion. For the record I have given updates in the past and I have given opinions in the past.

I wont be commenting on the agreement parts until after the announcement on Monday. I have a view , as do the branch's who I cover and we will discuss which way we go as we always do at meetings with reps and members.

Two important amendments were carried at the PEC which will have a lot of revelance to the way I vote and the way the Branch"s who I cover vote. This will be published on Monday.

For the record it was other people who said £30 , £29 and £27.50 and I stated that figure was wrong. Remember the supplement was only about allocating the monies spent last year on door to door and the shift allowance. This was never about new monies. Approximately only a third in deliveries perform 3 items on door to door opposed to 99 500 who work in deliveries. So if you share the monies out to drivers , reserves, nights , indoor staff and rest day covers then some will be losers and some will be winners in regards to money.

Some like to give myself and others some stick , that is fair enough , we have broad shoulders but remember we led the members in London who took 20 days of strike action to ensure this union got into negotiations whilst some of you were in hiding.

Only a minority of Branch's stood up and were willing to fight Royal Mail last year when the union asked for a number of units per Branch to ballot. Instead others waited for the national ballot.

I will decide my opinion next week and I will inform you. However my duty is to the members I represent first. Anyone in London will know we have more pressing problems to be dealt with first.
