That part of the deal would look more reasonable.
Have you read the rest?

One can only assume that because D2D is now considered 'workload' a PT does less work ie hours than FT hence why the payment can be pro rata like another poster said already a FT rural driver may only deliver to 250 drops whereas a PT town chap may deliver to 600. The difference is the indoor hours PT must make sure that they do not touch D2D indoors unless they are paid the physical hours to handle them.fishtank wrote:Don't forget the fact that it is a non-pensionable pro-rata supplement.BELIAL wrote:The bit where it said" pro rata" is what gave it away to meHimaggen wrote:Sorry if I've missed something within all of these pages, (too depressed to read through it all), but I'm trying to understand what makes anyone think that part-timers would be paid pro-rata for D.2.D.
Most P.T at out D.O do everything bar I.P.S, so why would they receive less D.2.D money as D.2.D aren't part of I.P.S!
Surely prep and delivery of D.2.D is the criteria for payment, not working hours.
So are you suggesting that even though our 32½ hour guys do all of their own prep, redirects, kills, bundling, bagging, weighing and delivering that there would be a slew of F.T running around the D.O when the bundles of D.2.D are put on the 32½ hour P.T's frames throwing them in?jessicarabbit wrote:One can only assume that because D2D is now considered 'workload' a PT does less work ie hours than FT hence why the payment can be pro rata like another poster said already a FT rural driver may only deliver to 250 drops whereas a PT town chap may deliver to 600. £23.60 sounds bettergarymgo wrote:If this is the real offer and it gets accepted, I can see mass resignations from the CWU and I for one will be 3 pounds a week better off.

If you were FULL time would you be so vocal for PART timers, is this just a case of sour grapes?
How do you think us elite FULL timers feel, at the moment I get £12 early shift allowence + £33 D2D per week they want to swap this for £20.66 do you really think us full timers would vote for a pay cut??
Spot onwelshy808 wrote:As a full timer I will vote no for this agreement not just because it's s**t but the principle of pro rata for AG's on D2D is disgusting and any union official that agreed to it needs to be reprimanded for treating AG's with such contempt. If any one votes yes for this agreement it will be from pure stupidity, if RM really needs to increase D2D to 6 a week why negotiate away the payment for each item surely members would have been better off having 1.67p per item and RM would have been able to make more profit. Greed from RM stupidity from CWU. That's without even starting on no set delivery time which will only allow bully boy DOMs to force unreasonable workloads onto CWU members, or later Saturdays that will impact upon every member not just season ticket holders, or the £12.49 early shift allowance being taken away after promising it as grandfather rights, or paying our lump sum out of our own money.
Please can someone explain to me why the negotiators didn't realise that they were there to represent US.
And it will be more than that lump sum's are sweeteners just to make you all swallow the bitter pill of thousands of pounds lost for ever!.spiderman wrote:This has got to be a big wind up, as a quick reckoning now shows me £600 a year worse off. How on earth can that be right?
Now I'm not taking sides here, but I'm certainly not biased either, therefore based on your figures.number one wrote:EL CARTO

Code: Select all
Your case FT
previously: £12 (early shift) + £33 (D2D) = £45
new: £0 (early shift) + £22.60 (D2D) = £22.60
50% (or net loss of 50%)
32½ hr PT
previously: £10 (early shift) + £33 (D2D) = £43
new: £0 (early shift) + £16.70 (D2D) = £16.70
39% (or net loss of 61%)k979aaa wrote:And it will be more than that lump sum's are sweeteners just to make you all swallow the bitter pill of thousands of pounds lost for ever!.spiderman wrote:This has got to be a big wind up, as a quick reckoning now shows me £600 a year worse off.
