Where exactly did you get your information from, I'm part-time and have been so for the past 8 long years, try to get made up to full time at every oppertunity but so far without success. I've been a member of the CWU since I joined RM, paid my dues and for what pro rata D2D, my union dues may be pro rata, but they dont justify being shafted like this.k979aaa wrote:Well most part time are not in the union what did you expect a freebie for nothing you have got to be in it to win it as they say!.el_cartero wrote:as far as im concerend this agreement is a kick in the teeth for part timers especially.

Union fee's are not technically pro-rata they just have two rates. Full Time/Part Timedjchrisc wrote:Where exactly did you get your information from, I'm part-time and have been so for the past 8 long years, try to get made up to full time at every oppertunity but so far without success. I am PT and a rep and this deal is without doubt discriminatory against part timers.k979aaa wrote:Well most part time are not in the union what did you expect a freebie for nothing you have got to be in it to win it as they say!.el_cartero wrote:as far as im concerend this agreement is a kick in the teeth for part timers especially.

No just they don't get your vote or feed back how the hell would i know how you feel about this and many more isssues if you 1 did not have this fourm and 2 never told me in person and since i don't know you it would be hard to listen if it was not for this site!. A union represents all its members the more part time members the more say they will have more reps more officials it stands to reason that all part timers need more representation than full time staff as they are not listened to or unheard of because they do not get involved in the union!.el_cartero wrote:so your trying to say they shat on PTers because there mainly new and not in the union?

part timers are bullied underpaid - threatened abused forced on bad walks (that have been made to make FT walks easier) . mentally tortured .
Reps dont care about them.
And now the CWU is having a dig.

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
As a full timer I will vote no for this agreement not just because it's s**t but the principle of pro rata for AG's on D2D is disgusting and any union official that agreed to it needs to be reprimanded for treating AG's with such contempt. If any one votes yes for this agreement it will be from pure stupidity, if RM really needs to increase D2D to 6 a week why negotiate away the payment for each item surely members would have been better off having 1.67p per item and RM would have been able to make more profit. Greed from RM stupidity from CWU. That's without even starting on no set delivery time which will only allow bully boy DOMs to force unreasonable workloads onto CWU members, or later Saturdays that will impact upon every member not just season ticket holders, or the £12.49 early shift allowance being taken away after promising it as grandfather rights, or paying our lump sum out of our own money.
Please can someone explain to me why the negotiators didn't realise that they were there to represent US.
