Guys i'm sorry about what happened, and i'm gutted.
Joint press conference 12pm on Mon.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I'm just shocked that the deal is so bad after 4 months of negotiating. I really do feel totally demoralised with Royal mail and the union after this fiasco. Where do we go from here? What happens if or When there is a no vote? More negotiations?

Just had a thought...remember during the strikes when Dave Ward always used to say "Royal Mail don't want an agreement"....Is this deal their way of getting an agreement thrown out?...Then continuing to run the company into the ground for it to be sold off to TNT..

Why would RM want this deal thrown out, it is gold dust for them.
As for the CWU that is one way to get out of the agreement, the other is to wait for the ballot.

The CWU ratified it

The posted Agreement is 90 pages - we were told it would be. It looks to me to be some kind of early Draft agreement and certainly not the finished article. But I could be wrong.

Well the date shows it is only a few days old, so I can't see much changing between then and now!

After all i've read today, i'm in conspiracy theory overdrive. They can't have spent 4 months negotiating this deal. Any chance that Royal mail and the union have actually been deciding how best to get a really bad agreement accepted? This "leaked draft" could have been done some time ago. If Mondays agreement is an improvement i'll start to smell a rat.
