If the newspapers want it they will get it.
There are journalists on here every day.
If they think it is worth a story they will get their hands on it.
As i said earlier the only way to deal with this situation is to release the OFFICIAL document.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Mind you there is always the "well known source" says that a sneak preview of the "New Agreement" co-signed by the CWU and Royal Mail has infuriated its long suffering work force who has been consistently abused in recent years by BOTH organisations.

That covers point 2 but as amendments have been made with a pen before it was photocopied, scanned or faxed to Postman it would not take Hercule Peroit to 100% identify which document was used and therefore identify Postmans source.pandorasbox wrote:Who say`s i got the document off here ??POSTMAN wrote:Point 2 is very relevant!
I know why people want to "release" it and fully understand the reasons behind doing so. But if we wait till the official one is released and then let the papers see it if we want it gives us time to formulate a decent response rather than a knee jerk one.
Also we could be playing into RMs hands if there are significant changes and we would hand them the CWU on a golden platter if we released an unofficial, inaccurate or incomplete document. They would win the PR war hands down as we all know the Murdoch Papers/outlets would rip into us calling us all sorts. The one thing we don't want to to do is put RM into the driving seat of a PR war, one we would have ZERO chance of winning.

I agree don't do it for if you do it could put all our futures at risk as well as the individual who leaked the copy and even those who gave you the copy!.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:That covers point 2 but as amendments have been made with a pen before it was photocopied, scanned or faxed to Postman it would not take Hercule Peroit to 100% identify which document was used and therefore identify Postmans source.pandorasbox wrote:Who say`s i got the document off here ??POSTMAN wrote:Point 2 is very relevant!

Re: SHALL I GO TO THE PAPERS WITH THE DEAL ?
You're right to say there could be amendments TBT but this document was produced at 4pm on the 2nd of March which woould no doubt indicate it is THE document shown to the PEC who too have been remarkably quiet - now if it has taken 4 months to produce what is by any measurement a risible offer on all counts, D2D, Reward, delivery span, later Saturdays, later finish times, local agreements (again), pro rata payments, and what in effect is a pay cut to those who deliver D2Ds whether or not they have grandfather rights or not - then the amendments which would make this deal acceptable to the membership would surely take yet another four months.
Those of us who have questioned the veracity of the union in recent years are surely justified if this is to be sum total of four months of negotiating for
These aren't my words but the words of Dave Ward when asking for strike action to support negotiations. I have always said that this should be the basis of a deision on whether or not these objectives have been fulfilled and clearly they haven't.

Royal Mail must have completed the deal, because as from Monday at our office they are implementing further changes with or without our agreement. Looks like the Ceasefire is over.

Get your rep to go through the IR frame work and what changes are these if it would not identify your office or you?.snoopywonderdog wrote:Royal Mail must have completed the deal, because as from Monday at our office they are implementing further changes with or without our agreement. Re: SHALL I GO TO THE PAPERS WITH THE DEAL ?
It was in our office till the spring of last year if i remember correctly!. But even so their is an agreement for no executive action till the whole agreement has been ratified by us all so why is royal mail breaking the terms of the cease fire for talks/agreement to be reached!. Has your union gone through the IR frame work if they have why did they not get the branch involved and then go to divisional or above them to the National delivery rep!.snoopywonderdog wrote:Absorbtion, I thought that was only used in the summer months.
