Leaked document,i've got another one hopefully soon, should get the blood rising with this one
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

these days mate they don't want to give you any time at all.
the harder they can make it the better and they expect you to see them after work etc!!
well balls to that i get them to see me in ips time! I used to do it but not now.
the only time they want to give you is if it benefits them.
sorry mate bit morose but true.
half the time they ignore the IR framework but then use it when their cause needs it.
I do what they do, approach people individually--------they bulls*t
I give out our stuff and get names for pickets etc, stuff em

My rep is a driver and seems to get the time, obviously if you're on a bastard walk it wont help you much.bobbyspoons wrote:Important question about 318s.
I'm a rep in a DO. i'm starting working to my 318, but where does that leave me with union duties. ie. do i have to perform them in my break, if not how much time is reasonable. Obviously it will affect how much mail i deliver up to my time ( will end up cutting off as my duty is a beast). i don't mean official meetings, i'm talking about going round distributing info and talking to everyone, which i do at least once a week.
Need some advice as we don't have any guaranteed release time for this stuff as reps it seems.

You just godda try and fit it in,if the whole office goes to break at the same time like us then i guess you'll have to do most then,or on tuesdays.
RM aint gonna give you no leeway.
