what i need to know now is :

1: what overtime is paid in lue ,is s/a or normal o/t ect paid week in arears.

2:should my payslip show different pay ect... normal overtime first 10 hours =

3:what are the qualifying periods for s/a ect... does continious ad-hoc overtime booked for four weeks ect trigger s/a. and royalmail to give four weeks notice of stopping s/a are these correct ????

juniority does not mean you will keep your duty its just the opposite of using seniority. Some places use seniority one time and juniority on others to balance it. If they use this system when picking duties and you are then top of this list or no-one selects your duty then you will keep it, however, the system does not automatically mean you will keep it. Unless its a ring-fenced duty *(FF, DDA, CWU etc).

No exactly sure if its official whats paid in arrears but at my office all claimed OT Mon, Tue and Wed is paid that week, Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun are paid the following week - this is because of when the managers/book room do the reporting to pay department.

Never done SA but at the any different types of OT are paid at different rates I would think they should be listed separately. Although some types of OT are not paid at an OT rate till you have done 40 hours, but which ones they are I am not sure.

I am afraid I am not very clear on SA and the rules but there is a new "Scheduled Attendance" agreement in downloads that might be able to help. Sorry but we don't have SA at my office.
