£20.60 for 52 weeks a year irrespective of sick or leave - £1017.20

We loose £200 a year in first year and with an average 2% a rise every year would mean 4 to 5 years to get to the stage we are at now.

Drawbacks - not getting as much as we get now and will take ages to reach parity

Plus - linked to rises - payment when not working -

So not a deal breaker for me but still disappointing.

Do you recieve early shift allowance TBT?
Because i stand to lose another £650 so for me it is a deal breaker.

i would like to hear the spin from the union on this, it won't be accepted in our office

say a postman has under 200 calls ie rural or airport duty are they also entitled to £20.60 a week regardless ... this will mean a increase for some individuals and to be quite frank is unfair

:left:Not a chance ever :chuckle RM invest in new packing machines and create new jobs to sort and prep flyers to make your life easier when they've got you to do unlimited D2D for the princely sum of £20, I'm just guessing but given their track record it looks like a non starter :chuckle

If the rumours are true that walks will be increased in size, then this payment would be even less attractive than it appears now.

In theory we could end up with one and a half times as many delivery points as we have currently and possibly 5 or 6 D2D’s to deliver all for a miserly £20.60.

Thanks for doing your level best to feed us with some information Postman, but I sincerely hope that you’re wrong on this.

Heard a rumour from one of the drivers that we'll be delivering 5-7 households a week, that 1 will come in everyday and we have to take them that day that way we'll be working closer or finishing on our contracted finishing time of 2pm. A lot of the blokes are upset at a fixed price because a couple of the boys on rurals have around 600 drops whereas some of the town deliverys have half of that or even less yet will be paid the same....Seems unfair and crap. WILL NOT BE VOTED FOR IN OUR OFFICE.
