D2D The Deal?

Post by postal_jedi »

Is there more to this proposed pay deal than the D2D's, or is that gonna be the clincha??? It seems to be the only thing anyone on this forum is concerned about. I'm in a MC and I'd hate to think that a deal with regards to our work P&C could be accepted or declined purely on the grounds of whether or how DO Posties get D2D payment! I can understand the concern, I too was a DO man for a number of years and I'd hate to think I'd be doing all those households for less etc... but surely it would be best to weigh up the offer as a whole and not solely on this subject.
Don't blame me, don't shame me, just because I'm the one to tell you.

The sticking point to all this is the massive golden carrot in the form of a rather large bonus payments in favour of a YES vote!

Once this carrot is dangled i suspect it's a 'one horse race' like the last agreement where most voted in favour of a £400 bonus :arrrghhh without being explained what was at stake.........hence the mess we are in now.

If they go for unlimited D2D's mines a big no vote.

It's so open to abuse.
