Job cuts

Post by noncwumember »

Does anyone have any idea how many jobs are likely to be cut and when.
I personally can't wait to get out. The whole place is a shambles.

One of the earlier leaks/rumours was that there would be 12,000 EVR/VRs over the next three years.
We'll have to wait to see the agreement to find out if that's true.

I really don't think that the CWU or the Union are likely to give a "ball park" figure or even given an indication of the likely job losses as it would cause so much bad feeling throughout the Union and workplaces.

The only confirmed rumour which everyone knows about is that there is going to a Management cull soon, which the "Association" are getting miffed about, and that RM want to reduce the number of MCs by 50%.

There will be job losses in Delivery but not as bad as MCs I think, although longer delivery spans will of course have an impact on the amount of delivery staff needed.
