When D2D goes into workload EVERYONE does 20% per day.

im guessing our nice union wont be generous enough to send us ballot papers to tick weather we agree or disagree with this deal, im guessing the people in the suits will just agree it for us regardless.

Sorry if theres some confusion over the 7-8 hr working day i didnt mean it to come across as a 7-8 hour delivery span.

Its your contracted or will your contracted daily work hours from start to finish.

Everyone will receive and individual ballot paper allegedly.

We've been doing park and loop now for a year. Ah, brings back memories of the unofficial walkout we did over it which lasted 4days.
Think i'll have a drink tonight in memory of when our depot got a backbone :nana

Let's all hope so but with reference to the delivery span how are we to have meal breaks and facilities that may not be available while on duty and will we be made to make that time up if we need to stop for say a toilet break as it were?.

re D2D payment for ALL delivery staff....MonkeyBoy says this ISN't the case. some will get it, some won't...

I'm also in this position, at present I don't prep, deliver, or claim for them....

If I don't get a supplement based on my present situation i'm not going to be delivering them when the payments begin

Dont forget that percentage wise more Mail Centres went out on strike than Delivery offices, because in my area SHRWESBURY nearly all delivery offices worked ie OSWESTRY,WHITCHURCH,MARKET DRAYTON,CRAVEN ARMS,LUDLOW,KNIGHTON,OAKENGATES,NEWPORT-which is closing in about 8 weeks time(serves them right the SCAB bastards) THEY ARE ALL SCAB OFFICES BUT WILL GET THE BETTER PART OF THE DEAL!!!!!! :wave :mfo
Don't know why you think that you are going to get shafted because its a Delivery Deal. The changes apart from D2D, and delivery methods, will affect everyone and everyone will get chance to read and digest the deal and vote on it as well (as long as you are in the Union). Walk sequencing, normal Saturdays, SWW etc will affect everyone and therefore any "bungs" or pay rises will be paid to you as well.

OTH welcome to our side of the fence. In Delivery P&M07 was generally seen as not affecting Processing that much, but had a massive impact on deliveries and is continuing to do so.

Distribution got its own deal in 07 IIRC but I never got an overall picture if it was seen as an OK deal or a crap one so can't speak to that particular deal.

Also banging the drum saying MCs went on strike better than DOs is not on IMHO. In my DO we were 100% - 100% of the time in 2007 and 99.5% - 100% in 2009. In my area we had roughly 50% of DOs over 90% out and 40% with a mixed picture ranging from 50% out to 90% on strike, less than 5% of the Offices broke the strike completely. The MCs as far as I know never had 100% and were usually somewhere around 75/85%.

As walk sequnceing comes in and it will as it has in some areas it will have a big impact on mail centers and their will be a lot less of them but in delivery is the biggest change to come for all i for one would not like a job in delivery but having said that DTD is their big money maker as O/T is scarce at best and it is really hard work!.

Can someone confirm that the reduction in walking speed is a 1.7% reduction.1.7% of 4.1mph is nae worth jack s**t?! If that is the best deal on workloads we could get, then im hugely f**king disappointed- if as pointed out by Bob Gibson last year Belgium is the closet walking speed to us in europe at 3.6mph.

1.7% in walking speed is hardly anything we'll still be going at 4 mph. Another flaw in the deal, our union leaders should go out on deliver and walk at 4 mph. I'll be voting no if this is correct.
