If your not a walk holder you won't qualify for D2D money, so you won't need to do them daily. If this is the case then lets look at the equal pay rights etc act. Again no deals are being made without considering the law. Caused by months of ineffective talks.

This will not work, if you are a reserve what's the incentive to door D2D's, same for floaters (who rarely do anyway). AFAIK the d2d payment is for all staff until I hear/read otherwise.

If reserves/floaters do not get paid but are forced to deliver that's cast iron discrimination.

All delivery staff will qualify for the D2D supplement.

On the shorter working week meal reliefs will be taken in duty time .

4or 5 day week will be negoaited locally with the possiblilty for those it suits some being on 4 day weeks and some on 5 day week.

On the D2D issue obviously R/M and the CWU will by some means checking who qualifies and who doesnt for the 52 week payment. Everyone will not be getting the qualifying payment

Lets put it this way in my eyes this isnt a pay increase but a pay decrease we will lose out on monies we currently get through D2DS. During the meeting we debated this for a very long period of time and ended up going around in circles as we were given nothing concrete. It will be made more clearer soon but lets put it this way all reps are going to be very busy over the coming months.

Sherps i can see where your coming from but really they can abuse it as much as they want .

Why because our working day will still be either 7 hours or 8 so its not in there interest to abuse it but then again R/M dont think sensibly.

I think when the time comes due to my points being very vague the dotting of the I,s and crossing of the T,s will make all the points alot more clearer and hopefully none will be open to abuse.

Park and loop wasnt mentioned by anyone in our meeting maybe its this point they still havnt reached an agreement on as the talks should of been done and dusted by now.

I think all delivery staff must get the d2d supp. I say this because like our office we're going through soon a full office re-pick. So if postman A hasn't got a delivery now but does on the repick, and doesn't quilify for a d2d payment then there's gonna be lots of leaflets left.

Regarding d2d....i do 20% per day, no more ,no less. I prep them , i deliver them, i get paid for them .I only claim for 80%. Now if the floater wants to , and should, he should take 20% of my walks d2d s, he should prep them, deliver them and then claim for them, so whats the problem ??????? :dance :dance :dance :dance
I married my wife for her looks, but not the one she gave me when i said i was going to be a postman.

Park and loop was agreed in principle before the negotiations started.
It was only the implementation of the new delivery methods that was up for discussion.
That is why our 18 new vans will be arriving in the next few weeks.

What about processing, and network drivers,or are we about to be SHAFTED to keep delivery staff happy, because their are more delivery votes and will vote it in because THEY have got the better part of the deal.
Dont forget that percentage wise more Mail Centres went out on strike than Delivery offices, because in my area SHRWESBURY nearly all delivery offices worked ie OSWESTRY,WHITCHURCH,MARKET DRAYTON,CRAVEN ARMS,LUDLOW,KNIGHTON,OAKENGATES,NEWPORT-which is closing in about 8 weeks time(serves them right the SCAB bastards) THEY ARE ALL SCAB OFFICES BUT WILL GET THE BETTER PART OF THE DEAL!!!!!! :wave :mfo

This is probably a stupid question, BUT......i cover days off, even AG. I dont get to do leaflets. Maybe when they are on holiday, but not all the time. How would it work for me?

All these points of 7 or 8 hour deliveries are horrific for all in the CWU and most in royalmail but till any agreement is released it would be premature to engage in speculation and rumour but as MoNkyBoY says it is still not a done deal till the PEC sign it off for all too see. Till then any info is welcomed for all to speculate and chat about and formulate our response to but till i see that 70+ page agreement that will probably be put to us all i will not jump to conclusions about this whole agreement!.
