Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Re: Agreement reached
If there is a clause in the agreement that takes away our right to industrial action, it beggars believe that the negotiating team have rubber stamped the proposal. it is the only effective tool we have. RM weren't interested in any form of negotiation until we went on strike. Without this option all influence the CWU and its members have will evaporate, leaving no purpose for having a union.music4essex wrote:Thanks truth for the update and nice to see that they have finally agreed something
What concerns me more then anything is not the right to take industrial action if the DIm Doms decide to go about the agreement in there usual manner, then I can see we will be in a no win situation , so I am hoping that the wording is watertight that in future we will be able take industrial action if the need arises.
If the Pec votes yes for it I will look forward to reading it

Re: Agreement reached
Long overdue!
It is hoped that with the length of time it has taken it IS the right deal.
No point in guess work now just waiting for the PEC to ratify it and then we can get to work on it.

I agree with you on this but we will have the final say on this or so we have been assured on here but that remains to be seen!.dogfood wrote:If there is a clause in the agreement that takes away our right to industrial action, it beggars believe that the negotiating team have rubber stamped the proposal. it is the only effective tool we have. Re: Agreement reached
My concern with this being in the agreement is that when put to the vote, the lump sum brigade will win out as was the case in 2007.

Who knows what is in the agreement that remains to be seen we can only guess till we all see it and that will be after the PEC has seen it and passed it on for us all to vote on!.dogfood wrote:My concern with this being in the agreement is that when put to the vote, the lump sum brigade will win out as was the case in 2007.

Re: Agreement reached
will have to be a decent lump sum for it to sway me
we have to remember what we will have to give up to get it
D2d, longer saturdays, heavier work loads, longer in the sun in the summer not forgetting freezing in the winter
