could someone please explain the rules behind i.h.r .the dim has threatend me with it over and over because of one period of sick!!
it is because of back problems which were caused by the job although i cant prove it was the job.if he was to ihr me would i be entitled to my
pension,how much is the lump sum does it increase depending of length of service.my doctor doesnt believe i am anywere near ihr potential
and laughed .i am concerned though that if i have to go sick again with this problem they will try and pay me off.please dont tell me to consult reps
as ours are completely useless

The royal mail will go for their 9 month rule... if in the opinion of ATOS from the date of your meeting with you that you cannot resume your duty within 9 months they can IHR you,,

That works out at 12 weeks pay plus 34 weeks plus shares plus leave. tax is payable on the shares and leave.. you can appeal on IHR but you need real medical evidence, the royal mail will pay for any costs with this,,

To qualify for your pension is the same logic as above but to the 9 months is changed to 10 years... that is any type od reasonable work either for the royal mail or another employer.. very hard to qualify for that,,,

I've had 3 and a 4 month ( AOD ) sickness and recently 3 weeks but over 2 years, all since 2008. Got me a meeting with an "independent" Dr to assess my injury.

Hope they look at the Medical Records, the Dept of work pensions AOD confirmation, and the CWU/Simp/Millar actions currently being taken.

Too young to be Retired, and my Missus would be totally pissed off if I was home all day! LOL!
