Resignation of duty/signing for vacant duty

Can someone tell me what the rules are regarding this? If someone resigns their duty is it correct that they then have to stay a leave reserve for a year before being allowed to sign for another duty? What agreement would all this be covered by? Thanks.

On the face of it that sounds right. After all if they had picked another duty regardless of what it was they would have to wait a full year before they picked again. But cant find exact wording that reflects that senario.

In the event of vacant duties being advertsied the most senior applicant will get that vacant duty, once that has taken place that person is then required to hold that duty for 12 months, after that they are free to apply for vacant duties again. I would assume this remains the case if you apply for a reserve duty.

Vacant duties should be advertised every 6 months.
