If the CWU top brass had'nt chickened out or got a back hander at Christmas time this would have been all over by now, we had Royal Fail sh!ting themselves and it would only have taken another few strike days but as usual and I won't forget or forgive Hayes and Ward let us down, AGAIN.

Surprise, surprise RM have managed to string HQ along for over 3 months, we all (well most) saw that one coming.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

I would be quite happy to walk...... feck them :mfo :cfo :lfoFluke wrote: If that brief takes place then we need to be walking out the door! We've spent 3 months with negotiations being done behind closed doors with our members being kept in the dark, Only for RM to start dictating instead of negotiating. Enough is a fecking enough.

Can't see the CWU re-balloting the members
What has ACAS go to say about the situation?
RM will spin that it was the CWU who left the talk , so they have no choice but to plow on with modernisation.

Why bother the ultimatum spillie?
They have already shown their colours and more empty words and false promises won't convince me.
How can you shake hands on any agreement with these surreptitious underhand snakes.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Royal mail have not strung the union along for 3 months ! Royal mail have not introduced any revisions since October . The union has and remains committed to getting the right deal not any odd deal !
It is the union who is in a strong position, the number of walk sequencing machines which come on stream this month increases significantly in march. Plus we will are close to the end of the financial year where traffic volumes increase and we are close to the general election which means they will expect us to deliver the election material.
In my view that pits us in a strong position not a weak one ! Of course we want a deal not a dispute but this union will have to what's it's done more than any other union fight for the right agreement . People who say this union is weak are clueless no other union takes as much strike action as the postal side of the Cwu .

It's way past time that we the members of this union were let in on the details, bring them into the light and lets examine them.
The more you know, the worse it gets.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Royal Mail have briefed and will be briefing at WTLs sessions in London and possibly elsewhere titled LETS TALK ABOUT DELIVERY INDOOR PRODUCTIVITY . This briefing document explains initially about individual performance standards but now want to introduce standards based on these 21 items per inward sorting letters, 15 items per minute for flats and 10 items per minute for packets. In addition 12 items prep per minute all in including clear from IPS frames and clearing down your frame and collect your special deliveries.
This document has caused a ripple effect and has left the union believing that this new brief completely undermines the talks and some of the commitments within the discussions. In fact the union has now signalled the talks have broken down.
Watch this space.
How do they measure the 12 items per minute?? I queue for 5 minutes to get my specials from the locker now....Also the IPS frames take me a while to go round them all......This is unworkable surely...
The rest of the "targets" are easily achievable, we were all IPS tested in my office and were able to easily exceed those figures. (The tests were only run for a minute at a time though....to do it continually for any extended period would be too much of a strain...I need to get me "Cup O' Tea" drunk whilst it's hot
Edited ..POSTMAN answered my query whilst I was typing
