pretty sure your union negotiated it away on your behalf........meanwhile BT employees (no relation to RM/GPO anymore) still have their little 'bonus'

Re: Queens birthday entitlement ?
We used to get one 'priviledge day' for the Queen's birthday, and a half day for Maundy Thursday,
we also got one Xmas 'priviledge day', which could be taken on Christmas Eve or the day after Boxing Day
in my office.
The 2 and a half Priviledge days were usually added to your Winter Leave.
These days were incorporated into your basic Annual Leave in the Way Forward agreement 2000.
The odd half day is rolled over so that you get a full day every other year, though you can take it as a half
day's leave if you put in for it.

If you don't like the crown on the uniform the the simple answer is quit the job. People like you in this world are a wast of time.

Ermmm no a was only joking.... Of course am BLOODY serious..!!! - Am Scottish - from the WOMB to the TOMB and she ain't my Queen, ain't got NO time for her or her Tax dodging family.. My last King was Charles II the last Scottish Monarch to be crowned in Scotland at Scone, in 1651..
So i will never apologise for being Patriotic.. And i'm now seriously considering cutting the crown out of all my shirts or asking for plain ones due to Religious grounds..

Re: Queens birthday entitlement ?
Royal Mail was set up by the Royal Family, and is still owned by the State. That's the link with the Queen. Although sadly, she also uses the (so-called) competition. Specifically DHL, who have had a Royal Warrant for a while now.el_cartero wrote:but does she have any real connection with us business wise.... like is she a director?.. pff

Re: Queens birthday entitlement ?
The queens birthday , maunday thursdays etc were removed under the way forward and then included within your leave entitlement, which meant that those with 20 years service increased their leave to 6 weeks.
