Post Offices under threat
In two weeks, the Government will announce plans to close 2,500 local post offices.
But thousands more are also under threat.
A private company is planning to take over a large slice of Post Office business, in effect making smaller branches redundant.
The Paypoint terminal system has been installed in 16,000 shops and they handle things like TV Licence payments.
It has been suggested to the Government that Paypoint terminals should handle pension and benefit payments instead of Post Offices.
Post Office staff say their specialist service cannot be replaced by a terminal.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

C3P0 TO BECOME A POSTMAN
I can just imagine Crozier et al, sitting at his desk thinking I am sure we can get Robots to do the walks as well as pensions, yet more money saved.
