"And the truth will set you free"
Do I believe it all NO, do I believe there is more than an element of truth YES! As would any rational person not slavishly following a diktat laid down by self serving individuals.
Do we need a groundswell of grass roots activists, you bet your arse we do, but are we going to get it - well I think it was pointed out that the PEC Elections are to be held shortly with the same old faces - so the answer to that is NO.

PKs report was only a mention and has probably been the most accurate of all at the time, since then we have had a procession of deals of the century, the most shape changing of all time, the biggest pay rise ever achieved - however absolutely ZERO information with any tangible evidence to support it.Big Daz wrote:And how out of date is PK report now?

To say nothing of staring into this space ad infinitum with a succession of final offers, today's the day, nothing is agreed til everything is agreed, but there may be outstanding issues................... you know what I mean.
And from the actual oracle that is the HQ of the CWU - nothing other than further information will follow in due course - or as soon as we can get someone to leak a bit would be more appropriate. The standard of professionalism is abysmal!

HQ websiteas far as I could see this morning said nothing at all this week about the talks, yet my branch sec has sent out a communcation saying talks have been given till the 22feb to reach a conclusion. This was posted through my letterbox this morning so was sent out yesterday. Why cant HQ put that on their website?

You did dream it in a way!!!pmaw@hotmail.co.uk wrote:Did l dream it or did we get over 80% in favou :lfo r for strike action Is it time to relegate these so called trade unionists to the rubbish bin l think they have lost the plot what a mandate pete beeston nottingham
Adjust the result for turn out and you will see barley more than 51% of the ballot papers despatched were returned as yes vote.
Turnout is something that needs addressing at some point.

If you want to be a part of this union and enjoy the sometimes dubious benefits that go with it then the very least that can be expected of you is that you will participate in the voting system and i would include all CWU elections in this to.
If need be you could always add a "Don't give a sh1t" box in case people thought their rights were being infringed.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Should be a joke about separating the wheat from the chaff in there (he said with a rye smile)Big Daz wrote:Adjust the result for turn out and you will see barley more than 51% of the ballot papers despatched were returned as yes vote.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
