Perhaps you could provide the link to the news story about postal workers being first class at maths and literacy. :whistle
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

ok so lets say 20 - 25 for the mail on my desk when i come in including bits n bobs missorts out of blue bag etc .

10 packets including specials and recorded set up + standing at office waiting for que and signing etc

15 boxing up

10 redirections.

so thats -10 minutes i have to even do all that. im panicking and stressed out that whole 45 minutes.

oops no time for d2d or big piles of returns - thats why 45 minutes to do EVERYTHING is a joke

your a full timer - prob have hours fannying about kicking balls about singing and farting cofee breaks fag breaks big long jobbie breaks .out the door before a part timer has even came in the door finishing hours earlier than them. on ur cushite little walk with hardly any redirections etc etc.

youve no idea what its like buddie. i have about 20 redirections atlesat 30 return dead mails a day .

i remember during xmas i was one of the fierst ones out the door becuase im so used to working so fast and geting to start the same time as full timers..

made my point to manager. the full timers didnt like it one little bit.

what a breeze it is wen u get to come in at 5 to fart about for 3 and a half hours. :confused

In at 6, IPS from 6-7.30/8 (with 45 mins on PT walk included in that), my own walk takes around 1hr 15 to fully prep and bag up (600 drops). Out the door at 9-9.30.

el_cartero wrote:how on earth do u jsut leave mail behind?

how long have u been on the walk for to all of a sudden decide its to big?

if this was the case id be leaving 1 rd of my frame in every time because my walks over by 1 hour.

maybe i should try this.

and what is the procedure for getting walk tested. shurly it was tested when they first made the walk???
When they forced the revision in to our office ,they put an extra 100 houses on my walk ,this was in september and i have had nothing but arguments ever since. some other walks were not touched. They still fly out , they still come in early etc,etc ,etc. So now i do my walk to the letter using RM s own guidelines, and believe me it takes forever. Pegasus says it can be done i say it cant. So to anyone out there just try it , prep 20% d2d , dont carry overweight pods or armfuls of mech.If they say do more ips , then do it, the time has to come back from somewhere. Dont race around the office just to make your lift ,carry one pouch at a time if you miss it ,dont worry they will have to get you there, but if you are left waiting , then wait . When on the street, time yourself , nice steady pace, NO SHORTCUTS, DONT FLIP THROUGH MAIL WHILE WALKING, CHECK THROUGH NEXT DOORS MAIL WHILE AT THE PREVIOUS HOUSE. CLOSE ALL GATES THAT YOU OPEN. Do it as pegasus says it should be done you will be amazed at the time difference. I must admit i do take my 40 min meal relief at the end of the walk that is so i can finish at 13. 27 as opposed to 14 27. If you are struggling with the walk as i said try it first , get to know how long it takes to complete your walk , then go to dom confident that if you get walk tested you can prove you ggo over your time . good luck
I married my wife for her looks, but not the one she gave me when i said i was going to be a postman.
