Some of these flats remind me of a previous job - bulky waste collection for Maidstone council / council contractors.....it would only be bulky waste except for Parkwood ( a few years back names as the location of highest incidence of single mothers in EUROPE! ), where we had to deal with black bags, and the Y-blocks on Bell Rd were the f-cking worst....even in the depths of winter there were always a few falts which badly honked ( one time soon after the contract switched from council to contractor the contract manager was threatened with a stabbing by a pre-teen boy....and it was dealt with in the same manner as all the other complaints, yep, it was ignored & the families we complianed about were never to my knowledge punished! )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

If I were you. I'd contact Environmental Health, and ask them to look into it, if it's that bad. Unfortunately, I can't give you a link, because there's one for every area. But just search for "Environmental Health Service", and click on your area.

this thread made me laugh loads ... my humour is a bit scatological :nana

i remember one huge sheltered housing block that was hideous. all the way through there was no ventilation and where there were windows they were hardly open or just cracked and the stench was unbearable ... going through each fire door would present a new vile vomit inducing stench that actually left me feeling afraid and depressed and i would dread delivering to it. 40 mins of nasal torture. yuck. even writing this has reminded me of that soulless place  and the smells...!!!

the only consolation was that by god i didn't have to live there.

I'm delivering to an area this week that has a really bad reputation. It's calmed down alot since the riots a few years ago! Anyway, one block of flats is so bad, that the council have stopped cleaning in there. It stinks of the usual piss, sh*t, rubbish, napopies, etc. They installed cameras at the entrance for security reasons, but all the idiots do now, is go up one flight of steps to piss and poo, instead of laying one by the front door! I'm not talking about dogs, but humans! It's rank!!
