loads of parcels and packets then go and lock van keys in back of van.oops! had to walk mile back to office to get spares then walk back again, crap day.

Really really piddles me off that a minority of other posties go home, or sit in a transport cafe for an hour or two get to go home when they return and the people who hammer it and get the job done get penalised. Bollocks! I woudn't mind but I have one of the longest/most rural rounds in the office.

You'll learn the hard way what all that running around and killing yourself just to finish early is doing to your body!

No manager in today. Everything ran smoothly, everyone finished on time (or before). Amazing really, makes you wonder what managers actually do? Apart from wander round with the phone glued to their ear, bullshi**ing with their pals in other offices.

I did the same last week

but I could'nt be bothered walking back to the office so phoned up and they bought me a set out.........got to justify managers jobs some how

how on earth can you get back 2 hours early even if you do "hammer it" there must be something wrong with your walk!

Must be a piece of pisss that duty, his DIM must be a right dipstick if he can't see the savings that could be made using the inappropriately named, BoxCleva, hours he nicks off the company.
Perhaps, his next DIM won't be as stupid as, and I hate having to call him this, because he certainly doesn't "Box Clever", BoxCleva.

I was locked out of the van a few weeks ago. Had a parcel for one house, no answer so I got back in the van and started the engine. Could see the fella driving up the road and I was blocking his drive, so I just let the handbrake go, rolled a few yards to let him in, then got out to give him the packet.

Tried to get back in, engine was running, but all the doors were locked. I dont know if its just our one, its one of those combos with the back seats, but it locks itself all the time, a right pain in the arse. My phone was locked in the van, so I had to knock on this blokes door to use his phone to ring the office to send someone out with spare keys. Felt like a right dipstick.

Monday was a strange 1. The traffic wasn't that heavy. I'd taken where I was going with 1 contract of D2D. When I looked at the frame before leaving, there were about 30 items left out of 530+. Had to watch a video about bullying and harassment, so ended up booking an hour.

Would have just finished in time I think, but for that. Today was a quiet one. Probably went to about 60 to 70 percent of my drops and finished within time.

Today was the lightest day my office has had for months and months, I had 7 bundles of mail and 2 doors to knock on, some had as little as 5 bundles for 600+ houses.

crap day for me was signed off work yesterday by Dr. for 2 weeks with frozen shoulder? says may be arthritus *(i hope not)
got to go back friday may have to have blood test to confirm
can hardly move right arm and fcuk it hurts

Had a good day yesterday, done by 12.30

Today however we paid for it, our area had over 300k DSA items in yesterday for delivery today. Do the RM planners actually do anything? surely this stuff has to be booked in advance, why can't they spread it out a bit instead of it all coming in at once.
300,000 items resulting in a loss to RM of approx 2p an item = £6,000 and thats just 1 area
