Wrong part of a FT duty is to sort the mail to walks and this is called IPS. I am 99% sure that a FT is taken off this and made to prep your frame. They will not, or at least should not have time to prep theirs and then yours as well as IPS.el_cartero wrote: when the full timers are getting plenty of time to do them HEY ! the full timers even have time to do my frame up!![]()

why do i need my walk tested i allready knwo my walk takes up to 5 hours somedays and so dos my dom other days i can finish on time if its a tuesday .. i never get to finish earlier than normal unlike alot of others can. no danger im missing my lift and making it even longer and harder for myself i rush like mad to make sure i get on that lift and to also not hold anyone back.
get in touch with reality m8 because sometimes the "proper way to work" is made impossible.
ill have a word with dom about it ..... but all he will say is dont worry about it .... bla bla bla .
put them in my frame u f***ing bunch of lazy f***ers you have all morning - i come in and there all sitting about on there arses while im strugglign in 45 mins to do everything!

Re: part time - d2d
That one sentence says it all.no rep in my office. no one to turn to. but managers alright and i think he knows the situation .
You could become the Rep yourself!
and
Yes the Managers know the walk takes you 5 hrs. With a rep this situtation should not happen. If the managers are so good how come they allow the walk to stand at this length.........so not that "alright"
If you are so concerned about your D2Ds, tell the driver to come back for you (via your Lino) and prep them before you leave the DO telling all concerned that you will cut-off........simples!!!
That is the proper way to work!

Re: part time - d2d
I am literally confused:
You don't want the walk tested but you say its too long.
You complain about the drivers pushing you to getting ready yet you want to rush to make sure you make the lift.
You want to know what should be done for you to work properly yet when someone advises you, you respond by telling them to get a reality check.
You complain about the Union not supporting you, but you are not and apparently don't want to be a member.
You want people to help you, but you slag them off.
You want the support and advice of members on here, but seem to think we are lucky because we are full time, and your hard done by because your PT. (I do 8.5 hr days sometimes and still struggle to do everything asked of me)
Its like trying to nail jelly to the wall, your full of contradictions, interesting but difficult to keep up with.

Cut off pure and simple!
If you keep rushing as you are completing every day they will not do a thing, cause them a few problems and they will have to act on it.
Oh and stop your relentless attacks on fulltimers, you do it in nearly ever post you make, i'm a fulltimer and make it my business to challenge the line manager and DOM regulary as to the way they treat part time workers in my office.

Simple El Cartero--Join the union.
I am also on 25hrs and dont face half the crap you do, dont forget you dont even pay the full subs rate either.
Its the best decision I ever took, and the cheapest insurance policy money can buy.

Be VERY VERY careful. You are on very dodgy ground here

cant do them if there not in my frame and i dont havea time scale sufficient enough to do them.
if they want to pay me for them then so be it im not signing for them.
manage me......... PLEASE but no they cant because to be quite honest with you i think they would rather have the d2ds not done than give me extra time on my contract so they meet bonus - which is pathetic.

El, I know exactly what you are going through, I have been through it, hell I am STILL going through it three years on (25 HRS). Chin up.
1) They can (and believe me will) call it 'wilful delay' regardless if you do not have enough time to do them. You MUST approach your manager and personally tell them you are not taking them out. If they force you then prep them and cut off or claim overtime if they have any going.
It has been known that IB have found d2d item's in postmans houses in the past and they count each leaflet as one item of mail. Imagine you have a week's worth, in the paper it will say '"POSTMAN CAUGHT WITH 1,800 items of mail in house"
If you knowingly receive money for D2D's you have not done it is fraud in the same vain as if you knowingly get too much change from a shop assistant.
Royal Mail twist, be careful is all I say.

4 Hour Delivery
30m meal relief
45 prep frame time and bag up
40 mins to and from DO (20 mins each way)
= 5HR and 25MINS
Contract time = 5HRS
Impossible to complete!
22.5? I'd go f***ing nuts! Your contract is stupid but that does not make mine great!

Re: part time - d2d
Come in at your time
Work at your own speed
Tell drivers they will need to come back for you and if they dont like it then its not your problem, see the manager
Prep your 20% - Dont know if you put them IN your frame or put teh smaller ones inside the larger ones and then stick em in your bag or whatever
If you feel time is getting on tell your manager you may not complete and ask him what you should do as your working till your time
Its his reponsibility - providing you are going at a reasonable level of speed ( if he says your going too slow tell him to test your walk - the buck lies with HIM not YOU )

Always add it to the end of whenever you finish if ye dont take it
So if ye finish at 2.30 and havent had a break thats 3 o clock ( or 2.50 perhaps )
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
